When you are finished to write a post or open a new discussion do you usually find tags useful for you an dyour discussion or simply skip the passage? Which kind of tags normally do you choose some fixed words or they changed?somtimes do you stay to think about which tags are better or suitable to your discussion or you put them without thinking too much? Normally i put tags on my discussion and so i found this useful for people are searching for specific discussion or purposes what about you?

I always sumbit tags to everything. It helps get your writing seen by more people. Sometimes its hard to pick the right words but sometimes you can come up with a really good one and your article will get a lot of traffic.

Well, I think it's a must to put tags in our discussions because in this way the search engines can easily find our discussions. It is like an ID which tells you that this discussion belongs to this category. And if you don't put tags in your discussions then it will be hard for the search engine to look for your article or discussion. But others just keep on skippings the tags. The point is if tags are just there to annoy us then MyLot wouldn't use tags in the first place.

I usually add tags after I create the discussions, I don't know if it really helps increasing the exposion gof my discussions or not but I just do it as habit. Mostly type in the main topic and some adjectives abot the whole discussions.

It has been my habit to put tags on my discussions.I just tag them because the column is waiting to be there. No particular reason. And may be I think that we are only allowed five word to use for tagging.I may not like other people tagging my discussion .So I do use all the five words myself.I never tag the discussions I respond.I think that it is a kind of invading their property. Only once or twice I tried my tags to search a discussion.

Hi tony When I first started here I always used to put tags to a discussion, either to do with the discussion or what my response was, then for quite a long while I stopped tagging simply because to me there didn't seem to be any reason for it, recently though mylot have asked for discussions to be tagged as not many people have been doing that so now I normally tag a discussion when answering or making a discussion..LoLo

I do usually put tags on my discussions. I think it does really help for the discussions to be seen. I type in at least two to three tags when I am done with my post.

Yes, I usually add tags whenever I started discussions, and I add tags whenever I responded to any of the discussions too. I find that tags are useful for members here who may be looking for certain discussions. With discussions tagged, it does help a lot when members are locating any of the discussions when they are searching for with the particular keywords of their interest. I don't really have any fixed words to tag. I will tag the discussions according to the topic of the discussions, otherwise it may defeat the purpose of tagging.

I don't. I find it annoying and I skip it almost all the time. Do you get paid for adding tags?

No, I don’t add tags at all. Though mylot says tags help us to locate our discussions, I really don’t understand how…in any case I have never felt the need to tag my discussion.

This is weird that I had just come across this discussion. I was just thinking about that as I submitted my last response. I do not tag all discussions. There really is no need to.

Usually, I don't add any tag to the discussions that I respond, I only add tags to the ones that I started. I think the discussions already have enough tags without I add any. Besides, it's hard to think the right tags that can apply the discussions. I may include a wrong one.
