I think one would be the most perfect pie crust...they are so hard to make and get them to turn out right. I'm not sure what the other would be...I think I'd like some kind of top secret dish that is closely guarded LOL I think it would just be fun to have them there, showing me little tips and tricks in the kitchen. The secret is to not over knead. The less kneading the better just knead until it is all combined and makes a nice ball, the more you knead the tighter the dough, you don't want tight dough.

This is hard for me because I am willing to try just about anything on my own! I figure if it doesnt turn out right, I can always find something else quick from the freezer for dinner! One of the things I havent tried yet, though, is making my own pasta. So I think I would get help with that. Everyone says it is really easy, but I have never done it. When I lived in Italy as part of a study abroad program, the woman I lived with made fresh tortellini one time. She made the pasta and the filling and put them together. So I think I would have the chef help me with that! I think I would also pick salmon. I am not at all a seafood fan. I am trying to teach myself to like it though because it is good for you! My husband isnt a huge fan either, but he has mentioned a couple of times that it would be a good thing to have occasionally - for something different and because it is healthy. So I think that would be the other dish I would get help with. Fish scares me because if you dont cook it right it turns out absolutely awful! I have never tried before so I wouldnt even know how to start! Now I think I am going to go find a way to learn these things. Thanks for the motivation!!

I would try cooking other fishes than Samon first. Samon is a bit tougher than other shrimp to cook. But most fishs can be cooked quickly in a frying pan. Put a little olive oil or butter in the pan, and put the fish in. I like to sprinkle mine with a little garlic powder and some paprika for color, and a little fresh dill. Takes about 3 minutes per side. Keep the heat at medium though not high it burns easily. I think it would be neat to make my own pasta too.

Everyone I have talked to says that salmon has one of the best flavors. Part of my problem is that I dont know what spices to use. Garlic would be ok. But I absolutely hate the taste of dill! So that makes it a bit more difficult to figure out how to cook the fish. Thanks for the suggestions. I think I will have to cook with someone soon so that I can learn. The thought of cooking fish on my own really does scare me a bit!

I may be going against the majority, but Samon is not my favorite. You could try making samon in a foil packet. Cut some sliced onion, and green peppers, salt, pepper, and chilli powder. You don't have be traditional. I like using Soul Seasoning on just about everything (it is a spice blend), it is really good, on beef, chicken, and fish. Even poultry seasoning is really good on fish.

hi i m myself a good cook and i love to cook chinese dishes-so i wud ask him to give me tips to make the chinese dishes even more delicious.here are two delicious chinese chicken dishes if u want to try: 1.Sweet and Sour Chicken Ingredients:Tomatoes-4 (big), Cornflour-2 to 3 tbsp dissolved in water, boneless chicken, cubed-400 gm, Sugar 2-3 tsp, Salt as per taste, Pepper-1/4th tbsp,1 tbsp Chilly sauce, 1 Cheese cube shredded, A handful each of Beans, Capsicum, Cabbage, Peas. Method: Cut the vegetables into thin long pieces. Put tomatoes in hot water. Remove skin and make puree in mixer. Marinate chicken pieces in 1 tbsp chilly sauce or ginger-garlic-chilly paste for about an hour. Later fry and keep aside. Put the vegetables in boiling water for few minutes, strain them and keep aside. Boil the tomato puree. Add to it the corn flour paste, sugar, salt and pepper. Keep stirring whilst boiling. Add the vegetables and then after 3-4 minutes add the boneless chicken cubes. When done garnish with cheese shreds. 2.Chilly Chicken Ingredients:500gm boneless chicken, rolled into small balls, 4 tbsp Corn Flour, Green Chilly (10 to 15 medium size), 2 tbsp Tomato Sauce,1 tbsp Chilly Sauce, 2 tbsp Soya Sauce, Salt to taste, Oil, 1 green Capsicum, 4 onions. Method: Mix chicken balls with corn flour in dry condition and fry it with oil in a wok till it become brown. In a separate wok, fry onion with oil till brown. Cut green chilly into small pieces and add it to fried onion. Then put small cut piece of capsicum and fry it for sometime. Add fried chicken balls to it. Then add tomato/chilly/Soya sauce into the pan. Add salt and stir it for 3/4 mints. Now the item is ready. try these dishes at home and tell me how u like them.

Thank you these sound great. Your sweet and sour chicken is a lot different than mine, but it sounds really good. I think sweet and sour chicken tastes better when you make it at home than when you buy it at the chinese take out restaurants. It is so much fresher eating right after it is made.

Anything Mexican I love Mexican food. My wife is pretty good at making a lot of Mexican food so I don't really have to learn. I also like Indian food a lot. I like Samosas a lot. I guess it would be nice to learn how to make those. But I could probably figure it out on my own. I think I would might let him or her choose one of the things to that would be cool

I would love to learn how to make carne asada. I haven't had good carne asada since I lived near Chicago. I would also love to learn how to make a really good pasta sauce. It would be so great to make a sauce so awesome that I never had to go out to eat Italian again. What about you? What would you like to learn to make?

For a good carne asada make sure to use Adobo. I would go for something really difficult that most people would not attempt like a soufle.

I think I will ask the chef to teach us to make a sweet cream cake of high quality. That is one thing missing in the house.

I would love to be able to make Peking Duck as well as the Chinese, and, I have never been completely happy with the fried rice I make. There have been times when it has tasted very nice, but still not like the master chefs can make.

I'm really good at following starters and main course recipes and getting excellent results, but I'd love to be shown how to make Baked Alaska and Cheesecake properly. I usually buy a frozen dessert when we have visitors, and we have fruit or ice cream for just the two of us. I'd love to be able to stun everyone with a perfect dessert just once in a while. Good topic.

I would like to learn how to make Shepard's Pie. It just looks so good! ^_^ I think the second dish I would like to learn to make would be Beef Wellington. It looks very difficult to make. All the video and such that I have seen online do not really help. I just need someone to do it for me right in front of me.
