Hard to imagine, hard to believe.
A unknown woman, let a kid just 5 hours age, a little baby, in the street, in the night, because she don t want keep this baby any more.
Was very cold last night, and she let this baby, there just in few clothes.
But baby was lucky, a woman find him and go to hospital and save this little human.
How can a woman,to be like this? I think that she is a monster? And if they find this woman, do you know that law can t make something to punish she? Because baby don t die, she will be free, and of course somebody will adopt this kid.
In last few hours, a lot of people call authority and ask to adopt this little girl....
What you think about a woman like this?I think that she deserve to be punished, deserve to sleep in the night, in cold weather, no clothes, as she let shes little girl too.

Wow, I am not sure what some women are thinking about when they do things like that woman did to her baby.
Plain wrong.
I hope she is punished, since she did not behaved well because of love, maybe she will behave a little better because of experience/

I would definitely think that the woman could be charged with neglect. You can charge a parent for that especially since the child was not killed. That child is very lucky because that woman found her and brought her to the hospital to be cared for.

I don't know the woman's side of the story so I can't really judge her. It could be very possible that she sees the child as a monster and was too resentful of it to care how its life ended. I feel bad for whatever caused her to feel that way. Hopefully the child will end up with someone who is able to love it.

In our country she would be punished and she should be. Here, we have safe places that you can bring your baby...no questions asked...if you don't want it. That eliminates the desperation that would cause a woman to do something so crazy as to leave a baby out in the cold or in a dumpster. If a woman does something like that...she has no excuse and does get charged with attempted murder.

The worst part of it is that in situations like this all she had to do, all any woman has to do if she doesn't want to or can't go through formal adoption processes, is take the baby to a hospital, a church or the police and leave it there. But so many of them leave them in bathrooms, dumpsters, on the street.... Heck, leave the kid in a taxi or on a bus; at least she would be warm and hopefully the cabbie or bus driver would have the good sense to take her to the police.

sorry but we don't know her situation and for the little in your post, all we can really say is that she was human. we all do things that others don't understand and if i had an unwanted pregnancy and was denied abortion, i'd probably be desperate enough to do the same thing.

This is a delicate situation where we are more attached to the baby of course because she was rejected by her own mother and left on the road. My heart ache when I hear these problems.
I am concious that there are women who cannot bear a child and they cry a lot for a child and here a woman has left her baby on the raod in this cold without sufficient clothes on her.
I heard mothers are all powerful and the most caring in this world for their babies but what I read denotes the contrary. Maybe the mother was suffering a lot to do such an action.
However still I fear for the baby as she is unaware of the whole scene and later when she will come to knoe about her biological mother, she will feel despise for her. And this is a fact which will carry with her.
I just hope the baby be secure with her new parents. She deserves to be kept in warmth now.

Gender does not matter in cases like this. Some people arej ust sick in their heads. I've heard of men doing things like this, and i've hdard of women doing things like this. Regardless of who does something so horrible, the person is sick. I am glad this baby was lucky, and was saved.

That's horrible. I think this is very irresponsible and criminal to do. She might have her own reasons to not keep the baby but there are so many solutions : she could have dropped the baby in a hospital, or she could have given it for adoption. There are so many people who are desperatre to have kids. Such behavior is a crime and I hope they will catch her and put her in prison. She could have killed the baby.

I think we need to find more information on the case before making a judgment on the mother. I have heard and read about similar cases in my country and there were various reasons to these incidents.
For example the mother may be just a teenager, who accidently became pregnant. The father of the baby disowned responsibility, and she felt ashamed of having a baby out of wedlock.
The mother may feel unable to raise a baby, She was desperate and left the baby in the hope of someone finding him. If she does not love him she could have just left him in a drain or at a rubbish dump. This did happen at least once in my country.
There are other examples but the two above should be enough for us not to pre-judge a person until at least most of the details are known. I do not support the act of abandoning a baby or small child but the mother may need some help. Desperate people will do things which they would not think of in a normal situation.
all the best,

The mother should have taken the baby to the adoption agency
or to a orphanage. I just can't understand the logic in what
she's doing to her own flesh and blood. No mother would ever
left the baby somewhere in the cold night. Plain horrible.

Hi icesmile,
Your discussion is actually quite interesting. People seem quick to call this woman a monster without having the full facts. Do we know her mental state?? Did she have a difficult pregnancy? Is the father still around?? Has the woman any other issues?? Did/does she have anyone to support her?? How old is the woman?? Does she understand what she has done??
Although I am sadden to think any woman who has had a life grow inside her can just abandon the life, there needs to be more information before a judgement can be made.
Yes she is wrong to leave the baby as you describe and maybe some sort of neglect charge should considered.
Is she a mother? No. Being a mother is more than just giving birth to a baby. Is she a monster? Maybe but I would reserve that judgement until I had all the facts.
