You are so right, it makes it hard to find good or interesting questions because so many are the same ones over and over and over again.Take care.

yes i hate when i se other starts topic that i start or that my friends starts... is kind of ...what word shoul i use.. frustrating.. they can't get their own ideas? why should we copy someone.. cause in anycase a discussion that is similar to others won't have the same succes as the first one.. and it's kind of ..limitating my imagination when i have to say the same things over and over again... well i'm not forced.. to some i don't answer.. but... still it's getting annoing to see the same things all day long... and with that kind of atitude.. the good topics..end to be unknown...

I think most folks here are good and honest..and if they create and existing topic it may be truly by mistake..My quam is with those who obviously copy it word for word: verbatum...this is what I call copycatting..+

I admit to being guilty of this! Well, it wasn't that I had copied anything, I already had the idea and I saw that other people had asked similar questions so I did try to alter my own discussion so it wasn't exactly the same! But I know what you mean, I have gone through so many questions about the same things, there are loads of questions about abortion and, it seems, even more about "where do you live" which, to me, isn't really a worthwhile discussion on it's own.

I think if you alter the wording and make it your own..this is not copying it's reawaking the discussion but if you were to actually copy and paste a discussion word for word, this would be obvious..and this is what I am referring to.. I made this topic way back when I started nearly four weeks ago..but it disappeared..when all the chages were occuring..and shortly after a copycat version appeared.. Now that I re wrote the topic ..I have been accused of copycatting myself;)lol but had originally did this topic 4 weeks ago and lost it somewhere in the shuffle.

Im a big fan of your discussions! You have a great outlook on topics. This on though I have to admitt I have copycated, but not on purpose!! I will just get an idea which I think is good, post it, and then there has been a couple of times that there was already a discussion going just like mine.

I think some people don't search or they want to put a different spin on the question. I don't know. I had someone blow up at me b/c I asked a question that apparently had been asked countless times. Well, the thing is, people still respond. You're not going to have the same person respond to everyone of those discussions that have the same subject matter.

If there was..I was not aware of it...I have not been on any of them..I am speaking of those who come to your topic..and five minutes later after responding to your topic put the same topic up word for word..You can tell who they are..the topic is repeated "word for word" and the comment section to is word for your words.. Similar topics that are obviously written differently, cannot be said to be copycat.. A copycat does just that: copies....THanks for alerting me to similar topics on this matter..I am sure it was not one of my friends..I would have been aware of it;)+

I start a topic if it is something that i have read about in the papers or seen on the news but mainly it they are about things that have happened to me or a family member like Barking dogs,(my neighbours} tradesmen, trusting,(my daughter-in-law had money stolen last week)home insurance (in local papers)depression (which i suffer)but i have noticed their are lots of the same silly topics that really don't have much to give a reasonable response to .If we all stuck to topics of things relevant to ourselves we would have more interesting topics and not so much rubbish.I hate all the copying and irrelevant stuff, junk it is very frustrating

Personally, I wouldn't know about that because I don't look at other people's discussions. All my discussions are from u and you send alot so, the time I do have to discuss I try answsering your questions and that's it. Do you think it's possible that alot of people could be thinking the same thing? Anyway my computer has been down the last day or so so I have a lot to respond to.

I try not to do a copycat discussion. But I know on occassion it may happen. I like to see the variety of discussion not just the same ole same ole.

I have been looking at all the copy cat discussions myself. That is one reason I don't post more discussions, if I decide on a subject, then I go look and see quite a few of the same thing.

Some people are only here for the money and they think that if they see a discussion with many responses, it would be easy for them to get the same attention if they just copy/paste. I agree with you, people need to be more original. I don't think this forum would be much fun if the only question anyone asked on here was "how old are you"?

Some I think is newbies not realising it has already been posted.....other times sometimes the topic has more then one answer and I do not mind answerings them more then once. - DNatureofDTrain

I try to check if someone has already posted about a topic. But it can be quite tasking. I know it's my own so I don't feel guilty of copycatting. People can posts about the same topic in different ways, no crime in that.
