If a person is bad it is because we are not comfortable with what they say or do. If they murder people, hurt people or steal from them, then we all tend to agree they are evil.
But sometimes bad can mean that they just say things others disagree with and they just have an opinion. This doesn't make them bad in themselves. It is in the eye of the beholder and nowhere else. Personally, I try not to judge, as these sort of people are not in this world to live up to my expectations, and if I am judging them as bad, it is only myself that I make uncomfortable.

Yes derek, you are right. It all depends upon the perception of the beholder and nothing else. Whom I see bad may be a saviour to some one else. The bad thing about a bad person is they are bad according to our perceptions. Hence good or bad cannot be explained and it can be only experienced. You can judge a person but the judgement is just yours and you may not expect everything to be universally accoladed.

No, I don;t think it is their being bad or even their refusing to change from being bad to good. i think what is bad mostly about bad people is the fact that they don't at all realize or accept that they are bad. It is such an attitude which is scary because if someone who is bad thinks and believes that he is not bad but is good, then there is no hope for that person to ever change since in the first place he thinks he is good.

Oh yes that's quite right. There are a lot of bad people who do enjoy being bad and are fully aware that they are bad. However, they get thrills and pleasure from instilling fear or pain or sufferings on others out of the mistaken notion that this proves their power over others. Well it is also possible that those who are bad intentionally are bad in order to hide their insecurities and feelings of inferiority. Parang defense mechanism. he he.

Actually, I think the bad about people would be the standards that people and society dictate. What is subjectively good might be bad for the majority.
Though in keeping in line with the possible standards of society. I think changing something that has been the ways of a truly bad person to something good would be synonymous to changing who they are. Of course this line of thought might only be true to some people. In some cases, its the act which is bad and not really the person. There's still hope for change in this kind of situation. Whether the person may be 'good' or 'bad', I think it is their willingness to change that might make a difference.
That's just my opinion though.

My opinion is that the Child molesting and murder and maiming for gain and pleasure as two examples that are bad not only by the majority of the people. It is the law of the whole human society.A good person never cannot a bad act however much he is pushed to.

Right. I meant by the standards of society would include principles of morality that is possible true for the whole universe..
A baby is already considered a person but at that point he/she is good. Growing up and being influenced by other people as well as his surroundings, then his perspective and personality might change because of certain factors. Those factors are influenced on him/her by society itself.

When we say bad people they are doing something
what good people don't normally do. The act itself
is consider bad and so the does automatically called
a bad person. There's a lot of reason why bad people
do some bad things in life. We really have to look
closer into their family history and so on.

There is no such thing as bad people
there are people who choose to do bad things but it doesnt make them bad
people have within them both good and bad
they can choose to nurture either one
most people choose to nurture the good
to further explain, lets say I were to choose to bark like a dog
would that make me a dog because i bark like one? NO!

We judge them as bad depending on thier nature of action which made them get categorised as bad as well as the action of them refusing to change from bad to good. Sometimes the nature of the one terrible act they commit is enough to condemn them as bad forever. There is no second chances in these instances.

I believe all people has the potential to be good or bad. Some choose to be good, others choose to be bad. Those who choose to be bad does it for selfish reasons. They just want to satisfy themselves and do not care what they do to others in the process. Those who choose to be good, care about others and are aware of their actions so they do not hurt others, they are unselfish.
In some cases it is easier to do bad than good but we make the choice to do the good because the outcome will be better for us and those around us. People who choose to do the bad things do not care about the outcome for others, as long as they are satisfied.
May you be blessed with only good people around you.

Probably the second one. Anyone can make a mistake or have a day when angry and do something regretable later. But someone who keeps doing bad things and won't change, that isn't the occasional mistake, that's intentional and their mind goes in that direction. Eventually it can escalate if the person refuses to change. Take care.

Change can take effort. That can be hard. So some people decide not to try.

Sadly nowadays the bad things and the bad people (or the people who do the bad things) become heroes
They get more space on the news and get more articles in the newspaper and online. Therefore there is some myth that being bad or doing bad is actually good because that's what other people seem to be interested in
It is so difficult to make a person believe that whatever they are doing is wrong when those doing exactly the same thing are the ones that seem to be getting more followers, getting talked about the most and having more success so it is not even the fault of those who are bad or are doing bad but the fault of others who portray doing bad as being the best thing to do

I think some people (sociopaths) have their brains wired in such a way that they can't help but be bad. But for most people it's a choice and maybe also a bad habit that they've gotten themselves into and don't know how to get themselves out.

The bad people including those sociopaths are not born bad with a bad wiring up there. It is the fault of the people who bring them up and the environment they grow that makes them bad. They become so tuned to it to a level of reveling on it.Poor souls. As you say they get entangled in it without any help.

I do agree with Derek; it is very much subjective because everyone’s perceptions of what is good and bad is varied and some have been labelled bad just for voicing an opposing opinion. None of us a perfect we have all behaved in ways that can be deemed bad by some and not so by others. This is of course excluding extreme actions like murder, rape etc…
I think that everyone is capable of change but I would not underestimate how difficult it is to do so. People can be bad because they make the choice to be or their behaviour may be due to psychological or psychiatric issues. Life is not a black and white affair and there are individuals out there who do not even recognise their bad behaviour to be negative; I read somewhere that a psychiatrist commented that the latter are the hardest to help because they blame everyone but themselves for their wrongdoings.

I think it is mainly that they have chosen to be bad. alot of them will never change either because they like who and what they are. they could care less if they were ever good in most cases.
