how has addiction affected you and your family?

addiction has torn my family apart! my mom, sisters and i have no relationship due to addiction. i hate drugs and alcohol! i wish that these things have never existed. i have lost so many special relationships that it hurts to even think about it. how about you?

I do hope you will move on and not let this hold you back.I have been through a bit of this years ago.Just do what I did and move on.Make a new life away from all the terrible experiences you have endured it will be hard but essential.Stay strong and move on.

I have chosen to be an abstainer because of what I have seen in my Mother's family. It is just not for me. I have seen family members brutally attack others while drunk. I had a nephew die homeless in a vacant building due to addiction among other things.
