Goin' to the Beach!

My son's last day of school is today so he'll be off to spend 6 weeks with his dad. I, however, am leaving tomorrow morning to visit my mom in Virginia Beach! I'll be staying for a week so I won't be on myLot at all while I'm gone. I just wanted to make sure everyone here knew so you wouldn't think I was MIA.
My mom's place in right on the Chesapeake Bay beachfront so I plan on spending a lot of time in the waves! :)

Enjoy your vacation and bonding moments with your mom! You'll get enough sunlight too, good for you! The early morning seabreeze also works wonders for the lungs so take advantage of it while you can!

Hey have a great time! do some beach combing and bring back some cool shells, and sea glass . Relax and take in the sun .

Sounds like a great vacation, I love Va Beach, however I like going to the beach over at Fort Story better, it's less crowded and you don't have the commercialism as there is right in Va Beach. We still usually end up goin over to Atlantic Ave for and ice cream and to walk around. Have fun!

My sister lives in Virginia a few hours away from the beach. My mom and I went to visit and we all took a day trip to the beach. The water was too cold to get into, (at least for me) there were some brave people. We went in October not in the summer, it was still nice though.

Well, you should be able to get enough sunlight out there on the beach to start making your own Vit. D

What is a stuttering law? Have never heard of that before.

it really should be called an "uttering" law..
basically if you swear in certain areas and you're heard,you'll get a fine of some kind.
i visited a friend in VAB and he threatened to tape my mouth shut.

Hi Opal - Here is a photo of me at the beach in front of my mom's place back in 2007. I'm wearing jeans & a sweatshirt because it was wintertime, right around Christmas. I will try to find other pictures that show it better. You can just barely make out the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel in the background.

Lucky! I grew up in Virginia Beach and oh how I miss it. I am all the way away in California now. And not the glamorous California everyone thinks of. I am stuck in the middle of the state surrounded by cow farms. Ugh! I miss the ocean! Get some good beach time in for me and have a safe trip home!

Hi koala, you will receive this when you get back from your week away, I hope you had a really good time and feel refreshed on getting back, it is always good to get away and be able to relax, that is what Tamara and I did for a few days and now are fully charged and will be back here catching up with all the emails from everyone! many blessings..LoLo

Hope you had a wonderful time on the beach.I too went to the beach when i went to my native place.It was the longest beach in India.I enjoyed the breeze over there.We ate some hot snacks over there.It was night time when i went to the beach.The waves were huge.I could stay there only for half an hour.Before going to the beach we did shopping so we could not spend much time on the beach.

ooohh that sounds like heaven. I wish you could take me with you. Have fun relaxing in the sun. Take a good book and don't even think about mylot or anything else that plays into the daily grind. You deserve a vacation. Have a great time and know that I am insanely jealous. I wish my mom lived on a beach... sadly she just lives in the desert... not much fun.

You lucky duck! See you when you get back! Don't forget the sunscreen and take lots of pictures of any hot guys that may be sunbathing on the beach. Haha.
