How often do you get your furnace/air conditioner checked?

An efficiently running system will cut your utility bill and lessen the odds of your furnace breaking down at an inconvenient moment. Besides, faulty heating equipment is the leading cause of home fires in the winter months, and a cracked heat exchanger or clogged flue can threaten your family with toxic carbon-monoxide gas. I know we are due. http://finance.yahoo.com/banking-budgeting/article/107171/is-it-worth-it?mod=bb-budgeting

We get ours done every 6 months. Thankfully we live in an apartment so they come by and do it for us. We just had ours done so it's good till fall. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

I don't have a furnace but I do have a air conditioner. It gets cleaned every year and inspected can't be to careful especially if you live in a older home where the wires can get a little faulty after so many years..can't have it over heating and damaging what good is still left in the wires or getting a home burned down. That is another reason we only run ours on the hottest part of the day and always turn it off even if we are only going to be gone for a short period of time..

We get ours checked about once a year. The last few years, something has been wrong with it so we had to have it serviced anyway. We didn't have to do it this year but I am sure we will again next year.

I have never lived in a place where I have gotten the ac or the furnace checked. I doubt my landlord did between tenants either.
