Internet Explorer 8, anyone else having problems?

I wish I had never downloaded it. I tried to do a pre-the date I added it- system restore, but nothing is coming up except config., no date like when I did system restore before.
IE8 isn't letting me modify or do anything I used to do with my emails. I can send, receive, and read them, but I can't enlarge print, change font, or the color. It also messed with my home page. I'll have one home page, then there is a blip and the home change is slightly different like my webmail link is moved over.
So how do I uninstall this or get all my features back for my email or get my system restore back? It has asked if I wanted custom and I has said, "No," now I wish I had said, "Yes," but usually that custom stuff means nothing to me.

Can't you go to add and remove programs and delete it out of your system? I have heard many complaints about IE8, my up dates came up the other day and when I went to install it was fro IE8, I didn't do it. Some that are playing cards where I play says that their whole system is messed up since they downloaded it. I am waiting before I put it on my system.

8 wrote over 7, so if I get rid of 8, I don't have 7, so no internet explorer if I delete it unless I can reinstall 7 somehow.

Are you sure? I thought they deleted or overwrote when you have a new version. Otherwise I have hundreds of old versions of everything, Adobe, Windows, etc. I would have to check to make sure the old system is still there because it's news to me that the previous one isn't modified or deleted when a new one is added. Otherwise, we would have tons of old, obsolute versions of all kinds of things and a useless computer in not very much time. I download new versions of stuff all the time.

I don't have IE8 on my computer. Believe it's 7. Actually I don't know what to tell you unless you try to remove it, reinstall and start over. Other members on myLot will have more information that I can offer, sorry. I don't use IE as a rule. I'd rather use AOL's browser. It gives me everything I need and want. When I am using our daughter's computer, she has IE8 installed and it works just fine but I don't like it!

I checked add/remove, if I uninstall, I don't have anything else. I'll probably have to call Earthlink and see what they advise. I didn't like AOL, they didn't let me shut down. They kept adding more things - until I didn't have room on my computer - without my permission. I called and complained to them a lot and nothing got better. I call Earthlink, and I usually get help/improvement.

Glad you like AOL. It wasn't for me though. If I could have seen a 7 there on add/delete, I would have just deleted it, but 8 must have erased 7.

I sure hope you got some help here. I had downloaded, but not installed IE8, I was going to use it on a game site, but I always have a lot of trouble with IE so I had just put it off. I read this and removed it without installing it. Thanks friend

I am having trouble with images but I have AOL so I seldom use explorer. I was at a coffee shop the other day and everything seemed back to normal and now I am having trouble again.

If it worked at the coffee shop, maybe it has something to do with your connection or if you have wireless, your wireless.
