Are you a "souvenir person"?

When you go to some amusement park, go travel to other countries or whatever, do you like to get some gifts for yourself or some suvenirs for your friends? I am, when I go visit a new park that I never been or travel to some countries, I like to get something to keep as memory or buy some stuff for my family. What about you?

Hi! Whenever I go to another country I normally buy t-shirt for me as a souvenir and if I have extra money I'll get something small for my family and friends. I also like to collect currency from different country as souvenirs.

Yes i am a souvenir person but it also depends on the places i visit. If I really like the place I buy souvenirs if not or if i've been there a couple of times already I save my money for something else. I usually buy souvenirs first visit to a country or a big popular city.

it depends on where i'm going. if it's a place where i can go to easily then i wouldn't get any souvenirs but if it's somewhere far then i would definitely buy something to remind me of that place:)

It really depends on where I am actually. If it is a place that I could come to again with relative ease, then I would probably not buy a souvenir and souvenirs are for me a way to remember and keep a memory about the place that I have been to. Places overseas would however see me buying some souvenirs and some gifts as well, often for my family or friends. Happy mylotting :)

I pretty much always like to buy some kind of souvenir when I go to a place, its just nice to have a little reminder of a day out or a holiday. The trouble is that in some places they are so expensive now that they are not worth buying for the memory!! I do like to buy gifts for others and usually come home with a jar of sweets or something for everyone.

Hi mermaid...Yes I am a souvenir person! And now that we have a son - naturally we have to get something for him whenever we go somewhere. But it's fun just to get a little something - especially for the children!

when travelling, my family and I would try and find magnet souvenirs. it doesnt matter what place, we would scour the city looking for magnets. then when we get back home, we would place them on the fridge. we've accumulated a lot and it's so nice to look at. :)

Yes I do get souvenirs when I go on vacation. My parents collect shot glass. Shot glass are a cheap yet great way to comemorate the places you have visited. I usually get a t-shirt or something that has to do with the place we are visiting.

I like buying souvenirs for my family and friends but not for myself. LOL. I only keep pictures of my travel, but not really souvenirs. I like buying for my friends though, and usually my 10% of my budget for my travel would be earmarked for souvenirs and local foods for my friends and family. =)

yeah I am. Souvenirs are like memories that make you remember the moments that you have experienced about a particular place you visited. Souvenirs are best keepers of moments and some with emotions with it. It's pretty cool.

Well it depends, when I go to concerts I like to buy stuff there for a souvenir like a tshirt if there any I like. But for amusement parks I really dont care about getting anything there since I spend most of my money on the food so I usally dont have enough for anything else lol.

I personally like to keep souvenirs and therefore if I travel, i also do like to spend buying souvenir items for my family and friends. My travel will never be complete without a souvenir item of such a place to where they are famous for certain product or food. In this way, I could appreciate the time I have spent there and remember it, not just by taking photos to cherish the memory, but also to buy some souvenir items i can give to my family and friends. I think most of us here on Mylot would agree on the idea of getting souvenir items once we visited a tourist spot or place. From simple post cards to memorabilias and a lot more.

If I buy anything from somewhere I've never been before, I will always buy a souvenir spoon. I've been collecting these since I was little, and I have one from Washington, D.C., Texas, Oklahoma, and many other places (I think I have one from another country, I'd have to go look to find out). Souvenir spoons are always a top priority on my list of things to buy. :D Happy MyLotting!

Hi, Heck yeah I am! heheh, my hubby's in the airforce and whenever we visit an airforce base in a different location, I sure don't want to leave the area without a souvenir such as a postcard , fridge magnet or anything. Also when we go on road trips and fly to other states and countries, we never leave the area without buying a souvenir. Sometimes, I want to go back to a certain place just to get a souvenir, and take some pictures. hehe

Yes I love souvenirs! My favorite one is a magnet. Anytime I go to a new city or even an attraction such as an art museum, a zoo or sometimes a restaurant, I get one. When friends and family travel they get me one too. My refrigerator is covered with them. I even put them in some sort of order - from west coast to east coast.
