How old were you when you got your first tattoo?

I didn't get my first tattoo until I was in my mid-thirties. Not sure of the exact age, but I kind of regret it anyway because they didn't do a very good job of it. How old were you when you got your first tattoo and do you have any regrets about it?

Up until a few years ago, I'd always wanted a tattoo but hesitated because of the permanence of it. Now I'm glad I didn't. Occasionally I used to get the temporary ones so I could have a dragon on my skin and that was fun but I don't have any and at age 55 I don't see me getting one. What do you have?

I have two dolpins with my kids names over and under them. It looks more like fish as my mother put it haha. I went to a good shop too, but the guy wasn't really very good at what he was doing. I have never seen a tattoo that bad come from the shop, guess I just got the wrong artist.

I like the idea that you two ladies have your childrens names as body art. That is so sweet! I wonder if this is a trend for women or if men do it, too?

i have 3 hearts with two flowers growing out of them for my boys and then for my only daughter i have a crown with her name saying princess kendra under it , i also have other tattoos as well and i am going to be getting a few more as well i am just not sure where or when i will be getting them yet.

i got my first tattoo when i was 22 i think i can't remember but i have my kids nasme in a heart with flowers that was my first one i also have 5 more.

Kids names seem to be the biggest thing for men and women I think. At least that is what I have noticed. My daughter got a really cute little tiger on her back with her daughter's name on it and has to add my grandsons name somewhere when she gets the money to do it.

I was 18 when I got my first tattoo. I had a rose on my shoulder with a small red heart. It hurt quite a bit as I didn't really know what to expect. I didn't regret getting the tattoo done, but maybe could have chosen a different style. I now have 4 tattoos in total, including a tribal design on my lower back, a big tribal style dragon goin up the right side of me and recently had a barbed wire design goin around my arm.

Hello none in my family have tattoo, in our place male usually don't go for tattoos, thanks for this discussion, cheers
