Tasks are not for everyone. You have to follow the instructions and not take rejection personally. A slight attitude adjustment and like what you are doing might help. Someone is paying you to do a job, although it is not much, you still have the option of doing it or not.

I have had no rejections so far, my only advice is to follow all instructions carefully and to research the topic you ar eto write about. I wish you luck. x

The topics for the writing tasks may seem "stupid" to you but you need to bear in mind that these pieces of writing are to be used as website content outside of myLot. Someone has a website about that "stupid" thing - whether it's a technical item like converters or a line of jewelery or a brand of shoes. myLot doesn't post the tasks for their own information. They clearly have clients that require specific articles to keep a fresh face on their websites and they may not have the time, staff or inclination to produce those articles themselves. They pay other writers to do it for them. To succeed at the writing tasks, you have to be willing to do your research. It helps a lot if you have a basic understanding of the topic. However, website content is not personal - it's factual and informative. You cannot write in the first person perspective... they aren't asking for your personal experience with the item(s). When a person visits a website for information about a product, they want to know how it will benefit them, they want to know about quality, durability, value... all of those things. Website content has to be general enough to appeal to the widest possible audience. You said you tried an article about jackets... so, maybe think of it this way - if you need to buy a jacket and there was a specific type you were interested in, you might go to that company's website to read up on those jackets, right? What kind of information would you be looking for when you got there? Would you want to know about the fabrics? Color choices? How many inside and outside pockets it has? That's what good website content does -- it informs you as a consumer and gives you confidence to purchase the product. What the myLot tasks are asking is for you to create a piece that informs and inspires that confidence. Hope this helps you... and good luck with your future tasks :)

Well patience is the first thing you need when you are dealing with tasks......and you have to be ready for a rejection.....so think accordingly whether you want to do it or no......according to my experience a task usually takes about 45 minutes including research and gathering information.....your task has to be unique and not something that is already available on the net.....USE the keywords, not all but use atleast 2 of them in your tasks(that's what the task creator wants) if you go to cover up every keyword you will end up being in a huge mess......you will go through rejections in the beginning but as some of the members here have rightly mentioned once to get a hang of what you are expected to do, your rejection rates would go down......infact its good you get rejected because the task creator would give you an explanation on where you went wrong and what was expected out of that task.....you can use it as a foot rule for doing your next tasks..... Dont worry keep trying, after all you would get $2 in one go.....not a bad deal.....

you just need to take your time and research the topic. You will get the hang of it. Just hang in there.
