I had never had a Falafel before today. I picked it up at this Mediterranean place about a mile from here on the way back from the movies today. It was very interesting. It is not something that I would normally order, but it was good. I don't normally try new things. Have you ever had a falafel before? Ever ever heard of it?

I think that I've heard of it, but I'm pretty sure I haven't tried it. I love to go out and try new things. What was it like? Why wouldn't you normally eat it? Will you order it again?

I just normally don't try new things. I stick to the things I know I like. This falafel was made with ground up chickpeas and something to bind it together then formed into patties and fried. Then it was placed on a flatbread/tortilla thing and they added tomato, onions, lettuce, and some kind of sauce. I would get it again I think.

I love falafels! I had my first falafel many years ago. At that time I had an African boyfriend and one day he took me a small restaurant that I didn't know. The owner was from the Middle East and he was a really great cook. My ex-boyfriend loved falafels and he also ordered a falafel for me. I love trying new kinds of food and I was really curious to try it. I liked it very much. We came back to the restaurant later and I tried some of the other dishes, they were all good, but the falafels were my favourite.
