Well i do. I don't understand korean nor japanese. But i love listening to them. Those ballads can be real soothing. And at times, there are songs that have the same melody as some mandarin song just that the words are in different languages. And it's real cool to listen to them. What about you? Do you listen to songs sung in a foreign language? Why do you listen to them?

Wow, here comes the topic I like. Japanese song...japanese bands. These are really hardcore songs I love listening in. Its, like, once you start listening to them, you'll definitely be hooked in no time. Maybe some of you knows the anime, DeathNote. Remember the song at the beginning of it? I'm so hooked up with it. I even sing the words they're singing even though I don't understand what it means. hehe... :) Really enticing and I enjoy it. Though, my brother keeps on asking me, "are you weird? why do you keep on singing that song you don't even know what it means?". And every time he gets irritated with my singing, he would ussually shout, "cut it off! my ears gonna explode!". hehe... :) But that doesn't stop me from listening and singing japanese rock songs. JAPROCK!!! Who's your favorite JAPROCK?

I like some songs in french, like -M-, and Russian. German is my most proficient second language, so I like some German songs. I think that Portuguese is the best language for singing. Danish hip-hop is the funniest stuff on earth.

Shoot. Now I have to find some & hear it. I can't fathom what that must be like. I'm guessing that if it were a food, it would taste like fried beef liver with syrup on it. Am I wrong? Maggiepie

It's funny you'd say that. I would actually say the Danish Hip-Hop is more like pure lemon juice.

The melody and beat of the song makes me to listen even it is not a language that i can understand. Russian and Swedish are some of it. I understand few and still keep on listening in it.

hi regal. if the music is good, i dont mind listening to any songs. it should be catchy and the singer should have lots of modulations in her/his voice. so that i can learn some techniques of singing.

i must say some koreans are very good in their techniques. They go through real rigorous trainings.

I do listen to songs in languages i don't understand. I listen to Japanese. I love listening to those songs. I find them really soothing. I believe that the beauty of music is not in the words but in the feelings invoked by it.

I do like listening to music in foreign language, but when I particularly like a song I feel the need to know the meaning of the words. It's another way to learn a language, too. I did it for english songs, and I'm doing in for Chinese ones now. Luckily I find most of the lirics on line, because if I listen to the song and watch the video on you tube, even if there are subs I never read them in time, and if they aren't very clear it's impossible to copy them. Lately I'm listening to Zhou Yumin's songs (I admit, I looked for his songs only because I like him as an actor. And I prefer him acting, not singing) There are a lot of other dramas song that I like but I don't know their names...

I listen to Korean songs, actually I have songs that I memorized because I became addicted to it, its Perhaps love themesong from the korean drama Princess Hours. Me and my guy pal used to do duets of this song and we even recorded it. I also love songs from Hwang Jin Yi and Hong Gil Dong, these are korean drama too. I don't know if you happened to watch 100 Pounds Beauty I love the song there entitled Maria. Some Korean Films have good soundtrack too isn't it. I have known so many but I don't understand the meaning. I love the song of Wonder Girls , I am now playing Tell me and Nobody here at the office. I love their music. Its more upbeating that our music. Our music are mostly revivals or remakes which feels lame because they can't composed or produced originals. It sounds failure to me if they can compose originals. I love korean lovesongs, really am.

Hi, regal. I like listening to all kinds of music no matter it is sung in English, Japanese French, etc.. Besides my mother tongue, I like English and Japanese the most because I've been studying them all the time. The lyrics of some English songs are great, such as songs sung by Sarah Connor or Celion Dion. When listening to their songs, I try to learn the lyrics by heart and sometimes even translate them into my native language for fun.

I listen to a lot of French and Spanish music. I find that the songs are often a lot more relaxing than English ones and the lyrics always sound more beautiful. I've never listened to Korean or Japanese music before but would love to give it a try! I think that as long as you enjoy the music you're listening to, it doesn't really matter what language it's in!

I only listen to songs sang in a foreign language, i just somehow don't like songs sang in my own language as much as the ones sang in foreign languages. Usually english songs, but sometimes japanese and some other languages, also, not only the songs words matter, but the singing style and the beat/music on the background, sometimes i like to listen so music where there is no lyrics at all, it's the beat and sound that makes it good for my ears. :)
