Cookie dough recalled, linked to E. coli.300,000 cases of Nestle Toll House refrigerated cookie dough being recalled. 66 cases of food-borne illness reported in 28 states; dough is one common link. Dough may be contaminated with E. coli, which causes gastric symptoms.Nestle: E. coli not detected in product; recall is safety precaution. I have eaten raw cookie dough and have half cooked them so they would be soft in the middle, But I guess that is out. I won't be buying any cookie dough any time soon. Or eating it Raw..

I don't actually care for the Nestle brand of refirgerated cookie dough. I prefer Pillsbury brand.

I have ate it many times in the past but not here in the recent years. That is awful that we cannot trust any of the foods that are out on the market these days. I wander why they do not find this kind of stuff before marketing it?

I guess this is one of those times when I am glad that I make my own cookies and I do not buy that premade stuff in the store.

Is this a problem? It seems to me that you can't get E. coli from the dough if you.. I don't know.. COOK IT.
