Do you think there should be reservation for woman. reservation in interviews and jobs and schools and colleges even bus seats.......i think humans as a whole should work toward the betterment of mankind and if the less talented woman is getting an upper hand on a more talented man then how will mankind cherish.......it should be about talent and not gender........its being proved that woman are more intelligent thean men and they always shout this out ...then why do they need reservation.....here is india girls have to pay only half the school fee that boys do....why is that?

I have not been keeping tabs on you. I just don't like your attitude about anything i have seen u discuss. U need to get the chip off your shoulder. the first discussion i read of yours u were griping about your mom wanting a hug. mom/s need hugs to. U better be glad u still have a mom because noone will ever love u like she does if she's a true mother.

Harsh- I tend to agree with AL on this. It's not what you're saying or bringing up is necessarily bad, it's just the presentation. You appear to be a tad bit resentful, and that comes out in your writing. Perhaps a different point of view or perspective is all that is needed. Try putting yourself in another's shoes for a time. Sounds like your generation is paying the price for years of discrimination against women in India. Well we come into life as it is and we do the best we can with whatever is being offered in our lives. To succeed in your life you are just going to have to do better and quit wasting energy on complaining. I'll bet you knew I was going to say something like this? Right?

Maybe, harshrosicky, it is because women have traditionally gotten the short end of the stick. Throughout history women have not been entitled to the same rights and privileges as the opposite gender. Thanks to a general enlightenment of present day society, these errors are finally being corrected.

Hi harshrosicky, I feel that there should be no reservation of any kind either gende based or caste based. The reservation that we already have for backward classes and castes is a curse for the country. It has diluted the quality and taken our country backwards, forcing us to put up with Lallu, Mayawati and their kind who have come up solely because of their caste, not because they are deserving...It is the same with the women's reservation bill... As long as there is no discrimination in the selection process, women have the capability to come up on their own...

yeah ....i think knowledge and talent should be given first preference.......reservation on caste is also nai right......they do the reservation saying that they didn't had the same facilities as you got.......that is not my mistake that they didn't get the facilities as i get ..is it?

Harsh- It's an interesting comparison. In the United States females are paid less than men for equal work. It's not even about talent, it's about gender here. Yes, things have changed here, but it's still in need of even further change. If you add on top of that ethnic background the statistics are even less hopeful. Though, as a female I have hope that in our country we'll leave the gender issues behind and move toward talent as well. In terms of schooling we pay the same price regardless of gender. It does vary by what school you attend and if you are working on a bachelors or masters, but the fees don't change just because of your gender. Namaste-Anora
