I think everyone should know at least a few basics. Even if that means knowing how to open a can, pour it in a pan and heat it without under cooking it or burning it to a crisp. Everyone should know how to make toast, or at least make some eggs. Sure people can get away with eating out 2 to 3 times a day, but that can get costly and is not all that healthy. I think everyone should be able to make at least a few things.

Hey there Kalaga, I myself am a male and know how to cook. I am still quite young and know a variety of recipes, I also experiment a lot with different foods just mixing them and their flavors to see if it will come out delicious or just plain disgusting!

Yes!Males should know the basics of cooking and should familiarize with some simple cooking recipes. With that, they will know the hardships of the woman at home cooking. Also it will help them to cook for themselves,if they have to stay alone in home when their wife takes a short leave for something. He can manage it himself without wasting money on restaurants junk foods.Cheers!

Absolutely men should know how t cook as they never know when they will have to tend to themselves and usually once they are good at it they like to do it to show off whereas usually women tend to cook out of necessity. I have already started to show my son how to cook, he can do omlettes and of course when he cooks them himself he believes they are the best ever. I have him helping in the kitchen when I bake, he grates carrots and juices fruit for me and always does the mixing. This way I hope he will grow up to be independant in the kitchen and not a helpeless male who thinks of this as womens work.

I believe men need to know how to cook because they could end up for a period of time by themselves, or once dating or married they can give their girlfriend or wife a break in the kitchen. Why always depend on the female to do all the cooking. Thats why I think parents should teach all the kids in the family how to cook so they can survive in the outside world and not depend on anyone, fastfoods or restaurants.

Definitely! I know a few guys who cook, and, honestly, they cook way better than women! I'm not sure, but it seems like men have better taste buds.
