So two or three weeks ago I caught what I still believe was a simple cold. Runny nose mostly. Well for two weeks now I fought the post drainage part which is the cough caused from all the drainage. Now the cough is just about completely gone. Well over the weekend I came down with something for more worse then a cough. Fatigue! I slept in on saturday till nine. Then I slept in on sunday till ten. I took one nap on saturday and two naps on sunday and still i felt exhausted. Then Over the last few days I still felt exhausted. I feel weak and tired. I could just fall asleep right now but I am at work. I have no idea why. First though was pregnancy but I am on birth control and have huge doubts about that. Even my mom thought I was pregnant. I have a couple of other symptoms as well like headaches, cramps, and nausea here and there. At first I was worried about mono but i think you have to have a fever for that one and i dont have fever. I will most likely have to wait untill next week to go to the doctor. So in the meantime I was wondering if anyone on here wants to make some guesses at what it could be. I am normally not this tired.

So your main symptom now is just fatigue? No temperature? Your immune system could have just taken a "hit" from the cold/flu. You may have sinusitis if you still have post nasal drainage. You could be anemic. It could also be the H1N1 virus or swine flu. I would definitely go to the doctor and have some blood tests done. You may need antibiotic medication.

If you're not urinating enough you could also be dehydrated or have a bladder or urinary infection. That could cause the cramps, nauseau and headaches too.

I would go see a doctor and ask them what they think the problem is. You seem to have a lot of symptoms for the common cold. Hopefully it won't be too long until you can meet with the doctor, maybe you'll feel better by the time you are able to visit with them.

it sounds to me like it is viral. one of my co-workers had the whole gambit from a cold to throwing up to diarhea, she was off almost all week except for one morning. my mom has had the same thing but not as bad. my co-worker went to the doctors and they could give her nothing for it. it just has to run its course. feel better soon!

Sounds a lot like what I had about 3 weeks ago. you should really go to the doctor, I had hoped it would go away on its own, but there was no way. It took three rounds of antibiotices for it to finally go away. Apparently it got worse because I held of going to the doctor longer than I should have.

i suffered a few years ago with post viral fatigue. It is where you have a cold or flu or something and although I had recovered from the illness, it had drained me of all my essential nutrients and I was at a low. I had the same symptoms as you and was signed off work for a week to recover - rest is the best medicine...along with a good multivitamin and some herbal tea (even if its not something you normally have)

Please go to the doctor's. With everything that has been going around you really need to see a doctor ASAP. Could be swine flu, viral infection, meningitis, lyme disease or very possibly mono. I had mono in my early 20's and the symptoms you have sound very familiar. I was constantly tired and exhausted too. The doctor did a blood test and that it how they found out it was mono. I think I had it for about a month. Don't play around with those symptoms of yours. Also don't forget that just because you are on birth control it is still very possible to get pregnant.
