i am one of those that dont give a 2 week notice often cause i stay at a job for along time. usally the only reason i change jobs is if i move to a new state. well i just started a job a few months ago and well before i started work i had put out many resumes. i got an offer from another company that is well 1.00 more an hour and it is the same thing i am doing now. i mean its a great deal so i am going to take it. the company has better bennifits too. i go take the drug test today and finish up the last details of taking the job. i have no issues with the drug test so i know there are no hang ups with getting the job now. i always give a 2 weeks though if i leave a place and i feel bad only being at this job for 2 months. that and where i started at was a great store but i got transferred to another store and i dont like it so i hate to give notice to this manager cause well she is hard to deal with as it is. i will probably give it to the main office to make sure they get it. this manager that i am under now yells cusses employees out and talks down to them all the time and never has anything good to say about people and well i know my 2 weeks are going to be hard. the company that is offering me this new job wants me to start this week but i told them i have to do a 2 weeks more i think about it the more i dont want to give the 2 weeks cause of how i will be treated in the 2 weeks. its bad already i can just imagine what it will be like after i give her a notice. i have never had this type of issue. i am an asst manager so i cant just leave that and that is not who i am. wish me luck in the next 2 weeks.

Good luck to you and I hope your next job is fulfilling. If they treat you terrible, I would cut it short.

I always hated giving a 2 week notice also. I hated the places I work at. It wasn't the job, it was the people. I wanted to get away from them as soon as possible. I left before my two weeks were up sometimes.
