"It's a War" said president Felipe Calderon to all the drug dealers. He has sent over 445,000 tropps and 5,000 federal police to 18 states, where trafficking groups are fighting local authorities and battling for acces to the U.S. market. Guns purchased in teh United States have been flowing south, while cartel-;inked crime has spread north. I read this in "project,latimes.com/mexico-drug-war/#/its-a-war" they have many stories there that are shoking.
I also read that there has been more than 9,728 people that have died because of this war. And that number is from 2007 right after The President of Mexico declared war on drug traffickers. "That's more than the U.S. fatalities in the Iraq war." Also that is just the number of bodys that they have found can you imagine all the bodys that are still bearid or buned or destroid with accide. It's scaring to imagine that there are poeple that don't have a heart and that just kill others for money or power.
Many people think that the President Felipe Calderon is doing the right thing but he might be but I dought that there is way that he will ever finish with the drug traffickers. And some people that I know that live in mexico are scared because the is more people being killed and kidnaped because of this drug war. I just hope that this will ends soon because there are also many inosent people dying in this war.
What do you think about this war?
Is it worth all the dead people?
Will it help stop all the drug traffickers in Mexico?
Would it stop all the drug traffickers in the world?
