How do you choose DISCUSSIONS in myLot to reply?

Hi, there!
I wonder , how people here search for discussions to reply? I just try to understand what type of discussion myLot users like most. I think you'll agree with me, sometimes it's very hard to write discussion. I always try to make thoughtful and interesting discussions! How about you? Maybe you are replying only ''hot'' discussions, or maybe only ''today's top''? Personally i'm visiting all tabs of discussions every day! I like to visit new user discussions , because they need more assistance!
So tell, how do you choose discussions? Oh, my english ... sorry :)

I choose those discussions which I feel are interesting and in which I can contribute something or help someone out. If like the topic, I go ahead and respond to it. I do not consider whether they are "today's top discussion" or "hot" discussions. If the discussion does not interest me though it is a top discussion for that day, then I do not respond to it. I only respond to those discussions which I feel like responding.

hi there , i had posted a similar discussion as u, just few days ago. anyway i always visit my friend started list and then go to my interest to respond in a discussion. i always give the preferences to my friends first as i am giving right now. lol.

Hi abruzzi!
I follow my mood and wherever it might lead me. I have my notifiers on and I watch the tabs and also 'similar discussions' to the right of every discussion I open and when something seems like a fun topic I land there.
I stay out of heated places where whatever the topic the final result always seems to be a flare-up. It's already hot here without coming to the Lot to get even more heated.
I don't start many of my own and when I do that depends also on my mood too. Maybe an item of news or something I read here on the Lot trigers off a thought.

i respond to discussion that seem to be helpful or when somebody needs help - these are my top picks. However, i do respond to a few interesting topics or simply pick a topic that catches my attention.
Then i wouldn't like a lot of text in the description because i don't have the patience to read through he whole post after a long tiring day. So simple and interesting topics (that are a part of my interests activity here) are the second best opted discussions :)

good question! what i usually do first is check the discussions that my friends started. if there are good discussion where i believe i have something to say, i join it. next i look at the discussions according to my interest. usually i look for discussions with interesting titles. then i check the top discussions and see if there are interesting topics. i like sharing my ideas. that is why i would like to see to it that my replies make sense. so, i choose topics where i know i have some knowledge on the issue.

I usually start with "today's top". However there are a lot of times that I visit the discussion page that is set up for your friends discussions. I think pick titles that are interesting. I actually hate starting discussions for the most part, though there are times that I do do that. I don't come to myLot often so I enjoy reading new discussions when I get here.

i usually looks at the discussions under my interests, then my friend's discussions then today's top...but most of the time, i reply on discussions that i think i have knowledge about it, on the discussions that interests me more.

If I can relate to the topic, why not. I answer and participate on that kind of topic. I won't be responding if i think I don't know anything about such topic, I don't have an experience or I am shy to tell my side of the story.
There are sexy topics too, but I don't personally answer to such. I am still private on those types not unless it was created by my referral and my friend and I would say a few and limited words for it just for the sake of participating.

I choose discussions on the basis of interests i have in the topics. well i just want to say a individual must comment on those discussions on which it has a vast knowledge because on the question related to that topic one can write so much about it and this really reflects knowledge on that particular topic.

Actually The thing I choose before Responding any discussion before responding are Given Below:-
- Good Topic with Good Info or Query
- Topic Should not be Tagged with Violation Tag
- Topic should not have any thing which Violate the Rules of the mylot
These are some thing what I check before responding a Discussion Topic.

I just start checking to see what new discussions there are out there, and I will jsut start posting responses. If it doesn't interest me, then I will not bother with it, but if it is of some intereste, I will post my viesws and maybe they will help others. That is what it is all about, is being able to help others out. Lately, it has been hard to find idscussions that interest me, as they are either repeaats or boring discussions. well, it is about having an opinion once you see a post. if it does not trigger an opinion , then you do not reply to it.

I am really new to mylot.I scanned through a lot of discussions before involving in one.Then I reckon its better to participate in discussions which are sensible and useful in daily activities.I choose to reply topics which share valuable information.My first preference is top discussions.But,I will be replying to new discussions which are interesting.

I respond when there is something to share or to talk about something, its not just the topic, or the latest trend I just check out the issue if I'm updated or not or just searching for a challenging topic to discuss

I think it really depends. Most likely, i will choose those topic that:
1. I am interest in.
2.People asking for help and i think my advice may help.
3.Those hot topics.
4.Those within my understanding ability.
5.My friends started will be frist consideration.

ya, i choose discussions , i usually read from the title and see whether it's happened to me or somethings that i know , i won't lie and i alway response what i know , my grammar and english was very poor or bad too
