http://money.cnn.com/2009/06/29/news/economy/madoff_prison_sentence/index.htm?postversion=2009062909 His apology rang hollow..heck yeah he was living high on the hog on these devastated peoples money. Bernie Madoff gets a taste of life in prison..do you think its enough? Good grief, who needs a $450n appointment book? Did the thing talk? Geez. And now we are supposed to feel sorry for his wife who was asked not to come back to the salon where she got her hair done every 6 weeks.

Ah, I do feel punishment should reflect the harm done. Take the punishment you'd hand out to a $20 purse snatcher and use that as a benchmark to scale the punishment. (Of course, they don't really do it that way.)

Wow,that is alot of money for a appointment book, it better have talked or been been made of gold. I am sure they might be other places that will except his wife as long as she has money in hand. Some don't care as long as it is money in their pockets. He says his wife and son had nothing to do with it and that they were clueless with his going ons but was they?

This is the first I heard about the sentence he got. I am glad that he also got the maximum sentence. That was what everyone wanted anyway. I do not feel sorry either. She was a part of knowing what he was doing.

He truly got what he deserved I just don't understand how the wife can keep 2.5 million of the money when there are people that her husband swindling millions from who are out of their saving. One guy is on food stamps now. This is horrible. She should not be allowed to keep that money. The wife is not going to be able to go anywhere people are livid over what her husband did and I just wonder if she knew about it.
