Here is a close up of one of the many Orange Tiger Lilies I have in my front yard. They grow in a clump that looks like a boquet when flowered. So beautiful. Everyone comments on how magnificent they look. The mail person, neighbors, frioends etc. Do you have lilies growing? Any flowers at al;l maybe?

I bought some lilies from Lowe's a couple years ago but they bloom for a few days and then that's it. They were on sale for $1 because they were past their blooming stage but I guess they weren't such a good buy because of the short cycle. I'm going to have to look for a different kind this fall.
Yours are lovely!

Lilies bloom just once a year and
usually last only a week or two is all.

I have some dark orange lilies that are finishing out, and some white ones. Lots of tomato flowers and pepper flowers as well, if those count. Yum.

They're my favourites, orange tiger lilies. You're luck to have a good amount of them. Tiger Lilies are beautiful and orange ones with the little bit of dark markings and one of the best varieties.
Brightest Blessings.

Oh goodness, we have tiger lilies in our area, grow wild along the roads and such but their not this dark an orange. These are beautiful will have to take picture of ones we have - there's a bunch growing next to the house where I'm living now just about to bloom.

I love lilies and you do a great job for sure. I can't afford to do anything this year with having to make a major move, but next year I plan to get a couple or three of those planter boxes that you can get to put on a deck railing and I'll plant some flowers in it. I do love flowers. I need your advice on what is appropriate flowers for planter boxes for my appartment.

Nope, with all the other things I've found growing here at my new place, lilies wasn't in the mix anyway. I was shocked!
I've seen some growing on the side of the road and debated about digging some up, but my luck there would be a snake or poison ivy there to pay me back for my misdeed.

The Red Tiger Lily is the Provincial Flower for Saskatchewan. It looks orange to me...and its a protected species here (not sure if it is anywhere else though) It grows all over the place here. But i dont have any in my garden. I would love to but i think if i dug it up and moved it i may get in trouble!
