HP, Sony, and Dell are good. You can not find performance, style and reliability like HP. They can be easily loaded without the concern of getting some problems. Sony is high on performance, aceesories. Sony has the best record in the no. of manufacturing defects. So, the choice is now yours. Happy Mylotting!!

Hi, friend. HP is currently regarded as the best laptop company in world market. But, you are right that there laptops are costlier than dell. But, I tell you Dell is also a very good and fast growing company. But, I have never tried installing XP on HP. I will certainly give it a try. But, one thing seems really odd. I purchased my HP Pavillion 2701 tx special edition laptop at a price of Rs. 45000 i.e. about 940 U.S dollars in North India. My laptop has Core 2Duo 1.66 GHz, 1.67 GHz processor, 2 GB RAM, 4 MB cache, a total of 900 MB Graphics memory, 160 GB HD with many other features like lightscribe , expresscard remote, fingerprint reader. That was one year ago. I don`t think there will a price hike as the electronics items` price have actually decreased by then. So, there may be two cases, the special edition is not in market now or your retailer is trying to make a big margin. Better check out prices on the internet. Happy Mylotting!!

Hiyah my friend, I would say you can choose between Acer and Dell. Acer has a lot of models to choose from, like Acer aspire for instance has a lot to offer. From their processor of Intel core 2 duo, slick designs, built in cams, surround sound and ease of typing and high definition picture. Acer Aspire ranges from Rs 33K (Aspire 4736 model) to Rs 86K (Aspire 5738z). About Dell computers, well they do also use the same processor which is Intel Core 2 Duo, with vibrant color designs to choose from and good features. Their price ranges from RS33k also which is (Dell Inspiron 15' laptop) to Rs55+ on Dell Studio 17' laptop. Both of these computers offer one year warranty also. I have asked this prices from Chroma so i guess, you decide which of the two offers more freebies, excellent in performance and price is affordable to you.
