Maruti SWIFT is the best car

Hello friends,
I drive Maruti SWIFT VDI.It's one of the best cars produced by Maruti.I get 20-22 KMPL on highways with AC on. It's cost is lesser than Logan.So I have saved cost wise as well as on fuel also.SWIFT has best diesel engine. It's pick-up is better than some of the petrol cars.I am driving it for a year without any problem. As and when you will buy SWIFT, you will forget Logan. Logan's service is worst where as Maruti excels in service. Drive it to believe it. But check-out, there is waiting list of 4 to 6 weeks for SWIFT VDI and 4 to 6 months for SWIFT DESIRE ZDI.

Swift's design was inspired by the Mini Cooper and surprisingly Super Bike Hayabusa. The swift website had this piece of info. when the car was launched. So guys you are actually getting to drive both these superb machines by just driving your Swift!
I wont say swift is the best car....but its the best car in its segment in India atleast.
And Friend, I'm not saying that Swift is a bad car. I personally love it, but you have to get to grips with the fact that it cannot be compared to a machine coming from the VW stable. Do you guys have any idea how many companies comprise of the VW group - in total 9 active brands including Audi, Porsche, Bentley and Lamborghini, and Skoda of course. So how the hell do you think that a tiny miny company like suzuki who started the company with building weaving looms for silk can possibly match the R&D of the biggest automobile company in the world. So guys, rest your thoughts, coz no matter how much you want it to be, a Swift can never be better than any car from VW or Skoda for that matter.

Hi sunstar, I agree with you. I too find Maruti Swift a good car. I drive one and am very happy with it as far as long distance and highway driving goes. But it is not economical on city roads especially on Bangalore roads. I hardly get 11 or 12 kms for city driving..I am not very familiar with Logan, so, am not able to comment on it.
