Yesterday, while I was doing some shopping at the Lowe's, I saw my a lady waving at me. I thought to myself, am I getting the wrong signal? She looks like one of my co - worker at work. When she approached closer, that was her, and she was wearing a Lowe's Uniform. She told me that she work here part - time, right after another job. She works there 7 days. Wow, I just couldn't imagine, how hard she work, and I never thought she has a part time job, because she seems like position in a high - paid employee list. She told me that, she has too much payment and plus mortgage, time to making extra money and for saving. Especially during this recession. Would you get a part time job under this unstable economic environment?

I think I would probably get a part job, if I could. My hours are so spuratic that there would be no way to guarantee my hours. While I get a set amount of hours, they're neither here nor there. Besides, I have to consider what to do with my children. I would have to find a baby-sitter or something.

Some years ago I had 3 jobs at the same time. I had one job from Monday to Friday, and another job during the weekend. The third job was a bit different, and I only worked sometimes (when they called me) My third job was usually at night, and when I got back from from my other job in the afternoon, I slept some hours before I had to go to work again. It was quite hard to work every day of the week, I liked my work very much, it was challenging and interesting, but after a while it got too much. I don't mind having 2 or 3 jobs for a while, but I know that I couldn't live that way for a long period of time. I don't regret working so hard, my ex-boyfriend also had more than one job at that time and we managed to save up money for travelling like we planned, but it would be too hard for me to live that way for many months or years.

Sure, I'd work a second job if I needed to, but only if I needed to. The reason is that there are so many out of work that I wouldn't want to take a job away from them, even if it was only part time. There is a point where we have to put out extra effort to help ourselves, and a point when putting out the extra effort is greedy.

Yes I would, I actually work two part time jobs right now. I also have other jobs that I do online. So really I have three part time jobs. I try to work a lot during the summer since in the winter I dont have as much time since Im a full time college student. Times are tough right now for everyone and I think more and more people are getting second and third jobs. I really hope our economy in the u.s. gets better soon.

It was hard enough for me to find my pt job that I have now. And for the majority of employees at my work, most have that as their 2nd job. And right now I don't know that a person could find a second job right now, as it's hard enough to keep your primary job and or a different job as it is to keep up with costs of living expenses.

Yes, many people are working two jobs, some even three, including weekends. Some of my friends are doing that too. Prices going up and the needs arise to take second jobs.

So she has three times? The way you made it sound, she has two jobs outside of her own job where you work. Well You could have recommended mylot to her! lol! Well I think that I would get another job (part time) if I needed the money really badly, but otherwise I'd come on here and make a little extra money on the side to save so I hopefully wouldn't have to have more then one job. Right now I have no job.

recession or not,I'll take two or three jobs.earning extra money can help in building my savings and making me financially stable.it make me feel peaceful and contented to know that I have money saved for hard times.it is comforting to know that you have extra money you can use for emergencies.

In the past, I have had to work 2 jobs just to make ends meet. I am so grateful at this moment I truly do not need a part-time job but, who knows if in the future I will need to work 2 jobs. I hope your friend doesn't have young children to care for because it seems like she spends so much time working and it would not be fair to the kids..or at least if she has children, I hope someone responsible is caring for them. It isn't easy these days to work two jobs and raise kids.
