In 2005 I was a nursing student, and I liked the education very much. I found it interesting and challenging and I was determined to finish the education so that I could become a nurse. The first semester went really well, but a few weeks after the second semester started, I became ill. At first I was planning on taking some time off and return to my studies after a while, but things didn't go that way and I wasn't able to continue. It was really hard for me to decide to quit my studies, because I loved nursing. The decision made me very sad, but today I know that it was the right decision.

Sometimes when things like this happen, you wonder if there is a reason that we just do not know about. You know that you made the right decision. Your example is a good example of one of those tough decisions.

The decision to get a divorce...I wanted to have a happy family life....turned out all different. The hard part was figuring out how I would be able to take proper care of the kids etc....but in the end my parents helped me make the decision as they didn't want the kids around him anymore and they helped me out.

I remember it well, like it was yesterday, almost, it was back in 1994 and the company I was working for was offering me a release package, voluntary redundancy, I either took it or stayed on working, now the travelling was adding another 4 hours to the working day and it was stressful enough without the actual job, I had done 5 years for the company, it was a very reputable company and they are still going strong even today, but certain parts of the company were being downsized in favour of computers etc and offices were being closed. It was at that time a reliable, steady company and I could still be working there, but because I was young, I was 23 and the offer they gave me was very lucrative it was a big choice between taking it and staying. I weighed up the pros and cons over and over again, got family help and friends to help but at the end of the day I had to make the decision no one else. So I took the redundacy package, I went on holiday with it and I put a big lump sum away, as to whether I regret it, well no, because I don't know how things would have turned out if I had stayed, it was the right decision looking back, but it was sure agonizing signing those release papers!

wow! That was a tough one. I am thinking about buying a car and need to work through that decision and also deciding on an apartment. When you start looking and there are so many, it is not easy to be sure. I know we should do our research and all, but that can take alot of time too. I was thinking about how long we take to make decisions....and what tips might help us make them faster....Appreciate you sharing my friend.
