I'm curious to see what everyone is currently working on for knitting projects. I am doing my second Pomatomus Sock from the Knitty website: http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEwinter05/PATTpomatomus.html And I am also knitting a Jayne Cobb (from the movie "Firefly") hat for a friend. All I have left are the earflaps. What are you working on?

i am starting out on my first pair of socks. they are spiral tube socks because i didnt want to bother with the heel on my first try. i got intimidated by the forums at ravelry. i am so excited because i dyed the yarn myself and like i said its my first pair. im halfway done with the first sock and my striping is coming out wonderfully, just as i planned. as for your socks OMG i remember looking at that pattern on knitty and thinking those were awesome! but i think they'd be a bit too hard for my first pair. i love the look of those.

Hey, congratulations on your first sock! And way to go on dyeing your own yarn, that is just awesome! I haven't tried that yet. Yeah those lace patterns are complicated, I try to do only one of those a year, otheriwse I stick with more basic stuff. The book Sensational Socks has a lot of great ideas, with detailed instruction. Do you have a class you could take on sock knitting? I found it really helps with the heel flap/turn as well as grafting the toe. Have fun knitting socks - they're my favorite, since you can just stash 'em in your bag and work on them whenever you're waiting for an appointment, or in your car, or on hold, etc.

i also like to hear about what all the other knitting members are working on i have never tried to make a sock before but i would like to try when i get more time on my hands right now i am working on a sweater that i have been working on for about two years now and i am working on a blanket that i have been working on for about six months now the reason it takes me so long is that between work and trying to go back to school and taking care of my small farm i just do not have that much time to dedicate to knitting

I am working on a yoke sweater using circular needles. This has got to be my favorite type of sweater to knit. I even made up some patterns with this style that I sell. I did make doll sweaters this way to sell but it takes so long and you never get paid for your time so I just make for my kids and their dolls. I believe though that my next project will be simpler.
