Yesterday I went crabbing with some friends and although we had a great time, we didn't even get enough crabs for a snack. We did see quite a few jelly fish though. This one was a little one, although there were some that were smaller. They look so harmless, but they sure do sting when you hit their tentacles! I haven't been stung in a long time and I'm glad I didn't end up in the water with these guys! Even the little ones hurt a lot!

I am happy to say that I have never been stung by a jellyfish. I live in Florida and we have lots of jellyfish in the waters that wash up on shore and are scattered on the beaches. The ones that I see are probably around 4 to 5 inches wide. So I take it that you saw these jellyfish out in the open sea then, maybe from a boat?
Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

The ones we saw yesterday were about 1-2 inches around, VERY small. We usually have ones in our River that are 5-8 inches around. I guess they haven't been that bad though, because people are swimming down there and the nets were never put up in our beach area.

Well, I guess you just had a nice outing then. I do not live near any place where there are jelly fish. I did see some washed up when we visited the East Coast some time back. They are pretty, even though they are painful.

I kept thinking yesterday looking at these guys that it's amazing how cool-looking they are, but just as painful!
