In my opinon Dreamweaver would be the best for creating a website but nowadays most free site hostings are already offering pagebuilders and drag and drop widgets so you won't really need to stress about desgining your site. They usually come with templates too for blogsites .. so yeah .. if you need help though. I'm a freelance webdesigner just message me up!

My preference is a "pure" editor, rather than a WYSIWYG editor. So the likes of Emacs (if you are not scared of a steep a learning curve) or Notepad++ (if you want something simple). But this is only for people interesting in learning HTML. If you are not interested in learning the inners of web design but just want to get going I have heard good things about the Adobe product, but have never used it.

Hi! I used to learn creating a website before. The one that I used was CuteHTML. It is a lot better than Notepad. It has a predictable tags feature and it has color to distinguish tags from contents. Aside from HTML tags, I also use CSS and Javascript on it. That is how I created my website before. Another software you can use in creating a website is Adobe Dreamweaver, it is like a very advance version of Microsoft Frontpage. That is what I can share. happy myLotting!

Let's try Microsoft Visual Web Developer. Have free Express edition that you can try. It's mostly support ASP but can work well for html. And it's have own web server to test too.

If you have money then you can try "Adobe Dreamweaver", but if you don't like to waste money and prefer to use free software. Then you can try these following free softwares: Visit the following sites: http://www.aptana.com/ http://www.kompozer.net/
