Probably A Silly Question...But Just Have To Ask

I see there is a tab for us to click on that says responded. Are these for the responses you have mede to others discussions? If they are and you go back and respond again in that same box underneath the author's response do we still get credit for the response, like does our number go up or our pay. I have always wondered that. Any thoughts on this so I can learn the best and fastest way to make money here. And if that is a way to do it I would really like to go back and carry on my discussions with them after I see their comments.

There is a very simple method (if you have time) to discover exactly what you will be earning for. Bear in mind that we earn for all our own quality activities. This means we earn if we start a discussion and it receives one response (we do not earn if it receives more unless we comment on them - the user who posts the response earns). We earn for responding and commenting even though our number will only increase the first time we respond or comment on a dicussion (by others). Your 'responded' tab contains all the dicussions on which you have responded (not those on which you have commented) unless they have been deleted since you added your response. I see no point in responding twice to the same discussion. You can add comments wherever you like but a second response seems supefluous. Whatever you do,as long as it is of quality (just saying 'thank you' is not enough and we are asked in the Guidelines not to do that). Therefore if you spend a day just responding and another just commenting you will see for yourself how it affects your earnings, as long as the content you post is similar in substance.

Our post number won't go up if we respond twice or more to the same discussion, but you will get paid for another response. The more you write, the more you get paid. But, you only get (number) credit once for responding under each separate discussion. I like going back every now and then because, if we've responded more than once in any one discussion, or the person who posted the discussion responds more than once, we're not always notified of that response. I've found that people have responded to my response to their comment under discussions I've started months after they posted it! I wish they'd let us know whenever anyone responds more than once or twice, but they don't always. So, it's always worth going back to read our "responded" responses.

Hahaha! rberon, don't worry, we're ALL confused here! LOL Yes, that response you just wrote will get you even more money. Every time you write something, you get paid, whether it's a discussion you start or a comment you made in someone else's discussion. Every response you make earns you money.

A lot of these answers were really informative though and have seemed to clear up a lot of questions for myself as well as other people so it was nice to learn about this stuff.

Yes that tab goes to the discussions we responded. Now as per the pay, as far as I know we don't get paid for the second response as well as the number of post doesn't goes up.

Yes, you are right, the discussion responded are the discussion that you have replied. As far as I know, you will only get a credit once, and that is for your first response. So make your response the best of it. You may also asked other members about this or you may try to experiment. you may try to respond to the discussion that you have responded, and check by the next day if your earnings has increase. To add up, what i know if you was the one who made the discussion, then someone responded on it and you respond to the responder, that will be the time that your earnings will be added. That's what i know.I hope this will be helpful to you. have a great day!

Hello, You get credit for whenever you participate. I see that you have responded to some of the other people here, thats a good thing. You are participating in a discussion, you get credit for that. Mylot likes it when you keep a discussion going. You also do better when you write good responses, the more you write the better. Good luck, and have a great day for you too.

yes the heading that says Responded are the discussions you have answered. No your number does not go up if you respond a second time. As far as being paid for the second one that I don't know.

To Ambie: If we are not getting paid for the second one, do we get paid if we respond to the responder of the discussion, just like what we do?

Yes that tab is the discussions we have responded too. We earn according to our participation here in mylot. Responding, starting discussions, or making comments to others within another discussion. A friend of mine once had a experiment, we both kept a discussion going, we responded to other people, they responded to us. We both earned more when we did that. I hope this helps answer your question.

Your welcome, this was a good discussion, specially for new people. This was actually a "real" discussion, people talking back and forth with each other. We will all see an increase in our earnings for this. I know it won't be much but its like free money. I like free.

Thanks this is a great thing to know, so that's why you go back to other people's discussions that you have responded to because if you respond to your comment and then I respond to that I'll make more money.

Yes, those are discussions you have responded to. No, you will not see points go up for commenting after a response you make, although since MyLot says you get paid for all participation, and chatty discussions seem to earn more, you will probably make a tiny bit for continuing the chat. You will earn twice in a discussion if you post a response, and then go to a response from Someone else and leave a comment to that response. That only works once per discussion, though. You cannot see earnings for commenting on every response in someone else's discussion.

That's good to know and I'll have to start doing that. I'm gonna read through all these answers again later because it's still a little confusing, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it.

I think the response adds to our pay but comments we only get paid if we comment on someone else's response let's say I respond to you, I get paid for it. if I add a comment under my own response I won't get paid but if I add a comment under someone else's response in the same discussion, I will get paid things may change but this is how I remember it

Yes the responses you made in participating discussions. But if we go again and respond we will not be credited again i think. But I am not sure,
