I was watching a show on TLC. I don't watch it often, but it was people who make specialty cakes. You know, cakes that look like things and what have you. He was making a cake for a museum. Seems kind of weird, but I started thinking. We have cakes for weddings, parties, birthdays, and sometimes just for desserts. Why do you think people serve cake at big events? Other desserts taste good. Is there a special reason why we always use cake? Ever been to a party, wedding, ect when there was something else?

Hmm I think its maybe because thats something that everyone has done for years possibly. In my family it is something like a tradition different colors to flavors for different times. I have recently been to an event where it actualy wasnt cake it was a big HUGE bouquet of fresh fruit that lookd like flowers and frozen yougurt to dip them in IT was actualy a shock to alot of us. My friends were lookin at each other and saying wheres the cake? lol . I thought it was awesome to do something different. You asked a great question I have no clue as to why CAKE? lol
