Yesterday, I showed an apartment for an owner to a would be tenenat and as I approved of the tenant I told the owner that aI had got a tenant to rent his apartment.
The owner came yesterdfay afternoon with not only the keys for the new tenant but also insisted on giving me $500 as he said an agency would have charged him more.
I am still on a high. I decided to get the car's problems addressed and $300 has gone on things for the car. Two of my sons have done the pricing and buying on what was needed, and the car is being fixed as we speak. I love it when the boys do these things and I don't have to deal with mechanics as I always feel that they are ripping me off.
The owner also insisted that if I take care of any problems with the apartment e.g. plumbing etc for him, he is giving me $60 a month to do this. I told him that I do this for all owners and do not get paid but he said that he would not feel comfortable if he did not pay me even a little money. Isn't he genrous and such a gentleman. Aren't I blessed? Earlier this year I received $500 from a wonderful high profilew guest at the villa where I work part time. Has anything like this happened to you?

i am glad for you and you are blessed .no i can't remember something like that happening to me with that much money.maybe a few dollars and i was glad to get that.keep up with the good works.

I am so blessed that whenver I need money urgently then it comes form somewhere. i am so blessed and needed it badly for my car. All of it is going on the car and that is o.k. I need a car with my job and so I am very happy. I hope that one day soemthing like this will happen to you too. Blessings

You are so lucky that without asking and expecting anything in return you helped that person get an aparment, though the person had the gratitude to recognize your help and pass on the monetary benefit.Congrats, you are indeed a very lucky person.I live in India and have never come accross an incident like that.Kudos to you.All the very best with your earning.

I'm really happy for you! Congratulations! Clearly, you are a trustworthy and dependable person, who inspires confidence in those you help.
As a former property owner/landlord, I can say that finding someone like you is a rare treasure-- most people I encountered are undpendable flakes, sadly. I have not been given anything... but one of my condos was next to a young couple, where the wife agreed to keep the key and show the unit while it was empty and for lease. She ended up renting it-- similar to what you did-- and I came by and thanked her and gave her half a month's rent as a "thank you." Turned out her husband was a "Mr. Fix-it" sort of guy... and I ended up taking them on as "supervisors" for ALL of the five properties I owned at the time.
Keep up the good work-- folks like you make the world a better place, by the example you set!

Thank you for your kind words. You did a wonderful thing to your tenants too. I love my work but my boss is bi polar and is not on meds. Life can be difficult and more than stressful when he is in residence but I get on well with the owners and the grounds are magnificent. I designed them myself and we propogate plants and flowers to save money etc. I do know that 99% of the owners appreciate my work. Now if I could just rent a few more apartments.......
Not many ever come up for rent as it is the preferred property for people to live in my area! Still, I can dream!

WOW, tHAT'S GREAT. sEE GOOD THINGS COME TO GOOD PEOPLE. U certainly deserve all the good things u may receive. I know u work hard & i think u make sure everything is done as it's suppose to be. The ownwer is a very generous man so try to stay on his good side. . I know what u mean by having to deal w/mechanics, i hate that to. Glad your sons are taking care of it for you. Many thnaks - somehow money comes when I need it desperatley. The car neded so much doing to it and it has to lkast me - I haven't finished paying for it yet! Blessings

His family own a multi millionarre business in tourism and you would never know it. He is a welll mannerd yong amn who has always shown the greatest respect to me. I am blessed. I have spent all the money on my car! So much needed to be done to make it roadworthy. I am so happy about it all.

You are very lucky person and yeah blessed one too. but make sure you saved some of that money because he won't be paying you for that long,someday he'll stop paying. He's nice person, i wish i could meet him for work.lolz. i remember that happening to me being paid for my volunteer work an NPO.

I really have used in to make my car road worthy. I bought nerew tyres and new brakes and lots of other things done to it to. It was not road worthy but now it is and I give thanks. I was do fortunate in being able to get this done without getting into debt. Car parts are vey expensive in my country as the mark up is one hundred percent. But my car now sounds so good and the tyres were threadbare

Wow!! You should feel real privaledged and blessed for this. I am sure things like this do not happen that often, and I would be Praising God if I were you as well. All I can say is it sounds like things are definately in control for you, and wishing the Best with this New tenant as well.

I'm still on cloud nine even though the money is now dfinished. New tryes and so much else was done - brakes etc, brake shoes and control arm, alignment and balancing. all things that hd to be done is done and I need a reliable car for my job. Am so blessed and thankful.

I seem to be on a role with happiness these days. I give thnaks for it. It will be so good to have all these things fixed on my car as I have not finished paying for it yet! What a blessing

Wow!!! it is a good thing. Good for you and at least you work where you live and easy job too. When I lived in An apartment, I always wanted to take this part time job but never had one :).
$500 is a good start for you now... you can ask him for manager job for the building and you might get more money(ask him to hire you)

This is my workplace. I worl as a property manager for an upscale blocks of apartments. It woul dne nice to be able to rent more apartments though!

you are very blessed to have such a great landlord. Do you know how many would take advantage of your kindness and not bother to pay you at all? Obviously, you are a good tenant and he appreciates you. I'm sure he has had many tenents that would not bother to take care of the building and probably even cause troubles.

I am the property manager and I rented the aprtment to a tenant for him. He would have had to pay a realtor twice that amount. But I recognise the blessu=ing that I received as he did nto have to give me anything

I'm so glad. I will try to take some photos of my little house today and send. Am practising and perhaps one day I will be able to upload on Mylot and earn more money! New tyres are going on the car this morning and it will be aligned and balanced. I am still so happy for this amount. I was getting worried as I have to have a vehicle for my job and didn't want to break down on the road whilst driving alone.

And my son has just called to dsay that I may need anew control arm and that is about $150 so it will all be spent on the car - and that is fine with me. I must have a reliable car on the road. I really give thanks

That is good to hear. That is a good way to increase some cash flow especially during this time in our world. It doesn't seem like a bad maintience type of upkeep.
You live there and it is good to take care around the area you live at. A good way to contribute back to the community in a way.
That is also good that you sons help you out around the house. I wish one day my kids can grow up and be similar to that.

The car is taking it all - but that is fine with me. I so appreciate having this extra money than putting all these bills on my credit card.

It is still so wonderful and to think that I will also be getting $60 a month for olooking after the apt. I am so blessed. Our god always comes through for me -especially when I give my last money to help someone else

This is incredible for you. If only there were more kind and generous people in this world. I truly believe that our economical problems wouldn't be like they are. I have a dear friend I met here on Mylot that knew how financially hard up we are and sent me $25.00 as a Christmas gift. We had not been friends that long but her generosity touched my heart very deeply. My ex-husband sends me money every now and then to help us out. He has come a long way since we were married. My family says he should be sending me money because he owes me. I have never felt that he owes me anything. He made mistakes and wrong choices through out his life and I certainly am not perfect. We got married at the age of 20 and 21. The way I see it, we just grew up together. I believe that every relationship is time of growth.
Anyway, you have been blessed and I'm sure you really deserve this blessing. Hugsss

Thank you so much for your kind words. I helped out someone from here just last week and so, within days, I had this unexpected bonus. There are wonderful people here on Mylot and I am glad that you were helped. If your ex is moved to assist then take it from him. It is better not to hold grudges but to forgive and go on if possible. It sounds as if you have resolved all issues that you may have had with him and this is so good.

Many thanks - I am still super happy although the money has been spent on getting my car up to scratch woith a set of new tyres etc, new brakes - the list goes on and on. SAo thankful for it.
