I swear I have about ten new ones every day, and half the time the people end up disapearing from mylot less then a month later! It makes it such a tough decision to decide who to friend and who not to, Then again, I do tend to accept most people unless they have like. three posts. Not because their little post count but simply because I don't know if they will be around the next day!! What're your thoughts and experiences on this?

I guess I don't mind as well add you as friend then ;-) I receive friend request quite often but not like 10 new friend requests a day, I alwaysaccept them all because I don't see why I would not accept, it doesn't harm.

Nope I dont get many friends requests at all, that might be because I just got back to mylot because I lost my internet back in march I usually add anyone who wants to add me,and every couple of months or so I clean out my inactive friends :)

Hi louieWpHs04, So far I accept all friend request except one. I can do it because I hardly receive one in a day . I am not to worry if they stay or not because I can't force them stay if they didn't want to. Just what do you think is right. Because you are the only one who will bear all the consequences. Be it a good or a bad one. Happy mylotting and have a nice day.

I have 22 left lol, and I bet after I clear out all of them i'll have five new one's tomorrow! To think how active Mylot would be if 100% of the people that joined actually stuck around with Mylot!!! Eh. I actually like when people PM me stuff. Great way to find out about new programs and such. Get 10 friend requests and four of them tell me about some new program i've never heard of. The only thing I dislike is when they're promoting a scam, or a program i've seen 100 times in other places.

From time to time it seems like I am getting a New friend request and it is amazing to see how many choose to stick around. Or they ask to be your friend and then they do nothing but SPAM you as well. I have been a member here for over 2 1/2 yrs. and it is amazing to see how many people come and go. But I also gladly accept a lot of people over time and it just depends from there what type of friend they will usually become as well.

I used to have like 100 requests that I never looked at. Then, I looked at all of them and picked who I wanted to approve to be my friend. I eliminated people who could not start a decent discussion, people who were perverts, and people who bored me. Now, I get one or two friend requests a week and usually answer them within a day or so using the same system. The trick is just to not let it pile up.

I only got few but I always accept a friend request. Actually in my case, I am the one mostly send a friend request. It doesn't matter to me if he/she is active or not. I believe that the more friends we have, the more earnings we will get. It is because if we have many friends, we will also have many visitors to our discussions, which can also mean more responses. That's why I keep on adding friends. Happy myLotting!

I always accept a friend request. I get them occasionally. If they message me for referrals I just ignore not interested. If they become inactive later then I remove them. I dont see it a problem.

Though myself new here, i too get 1-2 frds request daily and i do accept them all, till now..... But i think it would be better, that later, once every month, i do check out not active mylotters, and remove them from my frds list, or the ones who unnesssary send PM ,about reffrels to me..

wow how long have you been a member of my lot? and no i don't get a ton of friend requests i probably get about 5 new ones each day or less. i used to get alot but i don't know why i don't now. i don't really care because half the people i add don't ever message me back. and having tons of friends of mylot is not a goal of mine. mine is to meet a few nice people talk and make money. well happy mylotting.

Ehh. Just ignore the troll. Apparently a discussion about friend requests on Mylot is to promo my referral links? ahhaha. ('cept the discussion he linked to is a PM I accidently sent to the wrong person, and not even talking about a referral link but yeah enough about that. don't want to go toooo far off topic aha!) Anyways. If you go into mine or anyone's profile and look to the left and scroll down a loooot it tells you how long a member's been a part of Mylot, and when they've last logged in, and I think onnne other thing. According to mine, i've been a member for two years. it sure doesn't seem like it. If I was active each and every month I would be at like. double or triple the posts i'm at now. I took a loonnng hiatus(roughly 5-6 months) a little while back. I would say a few months ago but i'm back now for a good bit. I'm actually going to be cleaning out probably more then half my friends soon. I have the same experience as you. They either become inactive or simply never message me or anything. I guess they simply wanted to be my friend? aha. The reason I haven't yet is going through the friends list on the internet i'm on is really time-consuming. Next time i have access to a super fast internet my friends list will shrink, dramatically! aha. =p

Ya I am also getting lot of friend requests everyday and I add everybody I did not check whether they stay active or not? because I have lot of friends some of them are my referrer so I have decided not to accept any more friend request because I am unable to follow my referees I cant guide them how to stay active here and how to make money from this site . finally I loss the money just because of these unnecessary friends here

Most of the time random people add me that I don't even know. I accept them and everything, but all that happens is that yo accept the friend request and you never hear of them again. Out of all of my 500 friends that have added me, they have not even said Hi. I reckon people just add people as friends as a popularity contest to see who can get more friends than other people. How lame. Really, when you think of it.

Hi Louie, after initially joining I now prefer to choose and accept friends who write well and have interesting things to say. There is one request which is permanently returning and I just don't get it, don't think I've ever come across them in a discussion and they already have about a million friends.

I now limit my friend acceptances to people who have responded to my discussions, or those who post interesting topics to which I've responded. I don't accept friends requests out of the blue, and I always check the profile first to see if we have things in common. I have about 40 friends, and we respond to each other's discussions, and alert each other to other interesting discussions.I PM several of them as well. One point about people with low posting numbers is that they may not be a genuine new member; it could be a banned member coming back with a new account. I also do not accept friend requests from people whose only discussions are in the 'making money' section, as they will usually spam you as soon as you accept them. I go through my friends about once a month and delete anyone who hasn't posted anything interesting or responded to any of my discussions during that month. Some people just like adding friends as trophies, but that's a pointless exercise. Friends on Mylot should enhance and add to your time here, just as real life friends should make your life better. If that's not the case, what's the point of having them?

yes i do get at least 1 friendship request everyday and i wonder why people always want me to be their friend here just because i responded to their discussion once, i don't even have time to search their discussions and respond to them and i hope they will not be angry because of that, i only pick discussions that catches my eye
