Prevailing conditions need our attention..
Today, a day has come where people are bound to sell their BLOOD in exchange of a mere few water tankers.Yes, this is true. And I can assure you that if the current trend of water depletion continues, a day will come when we would have no option than to kill others to calm our thirst.
Some facts and figures underneath will be an eye opener for you..
:More than 2 billion people worldwide live in regions facing water scarcity.
:Some 4 billion people dont have access to pure drinking water.
:Every 15 second, a child dies from diseases related to water scarcity.
:At any time, 55% of the world's hospital beds are occupied by patients suffering from a water related diseases.
:90% of all victims of water scarcity deaths are children under 5 years of age.
These facts, according to me are sufficient to tell the horrifyimg conditions prevailing.Although many analysts believe that the current demnd will outstrip the water resources by 2050, I think its not all over yet. We can still amke some serious efforts on our part to prevent the misuse of water resources.
So, I humbly request you all to try and prevent wastage of water in best way u can. Today such a condition has come that if you waste a bucket full of water, then it is equivalent to wasting a bottle full of Human BLOOD and wasting merely 5 buckets of water means that you have killed a person just because you have snatches life giving water from him.
I now a simple theory that more u save, the more u get. If, we could save one-fifth of the total water taht we use daily, and acc. to cuurent stats if we have 50 more years of water resources available then upto the end of that 50 uears we could succesfully create 10 more happy years full of water. Yes, just by reudcing our water consumption to 4/5th of total we could have 10 more happy years.
So, I urge u all to please try to save water as much as you can.
Tell us what u think about this topic and post your suggestions on how we could save water in the best way.Take this discussion as a chance to show the other users what u think of this topic and let us know what have u done, and what have u thought to do in this regard. I believe that after reading this, we all have definitely something to think about.
As far as I am concerned, I am thinking to start a sort of mission in my city Aligarh, India, where the members would visit some places daily and try to tell people about the prevailing conditions and how by doing some simple changes in their LifeStyle can prevent huge amount of Water wastage.
What do you think??????

For the moment, my Mom and I were saving water by turning off the main faucet every night before we sleep. so that we would determine if we can save water...and then probably save ourselves from the HIGH heeled Bills that is coming very very soon. we die definitely if we loose water.

But we should try much more than what we are doing to protect this world. And also we should spread awareness amongst others also.

We should live the where we preach! Leading by example is what I do.
I have started to save water consumption at home for 1 year already. Even
though my state government subsidised our water bill, I did not take advantage or take for granted and simply waste water.
Water is like our life, it supports many lives!
1) I filled up a 500ml plastic bottle with water.
I put it in my toilet flusher tank so that the
water that flow in from the inlet pipe is cut down
by the weight/volume of the water in the bottle.
Some houses, their toilet flusher has option of half flush
and full flush. To those who don't have, this is a good
idea to save water. Sometimes we do not need so much water
(full flush) to flush the toilet, right?
2) I hand wash my clothes so that I can recycled the water.
1st rinse I would use to was the drain. 2nd rinse I would
wash my car. 3rd rinse (water) I would use to soak another
batch of clothes or wash my son school shoes. This means !
reuse the water, save the environment, good exercise and
save money too. It is a Win-Win situation.
3) Use watering can when you water the plant, this is better
than just pouring directly. Watering can used less water
- the amount is just enough for the plant. No wastage!
In Israel, water is very expensive (deserted land), they
came out a special watering system that provide "just enough"
water for their plantation/orchard plants.
4) My mum will put a pail outside on rainy day to collect the rain
water. She will used it to water her garden.
5) The water that she used to rinse the rice for cooking, she will keep
in a basin for soaking used oily plates, bowls after dinner. Good idea?
I really hope everyone will do their part, collectively the effect can be felt!

Thanks for your comments, and really I am very pleased to know that still there are people like u, who care for this life giving water and try prevent the wastage of it.
Really, I am very pleased.
Just a humble request again from you. Please spread this awareness among others
(your near and dear ones). A collective effort can really save this EARTH......
We should remember one thing,
IF THERE IS MAGIC ON THIS PLANET, IT IS CONTAINED IN WATER a famous saying by Loren Eiseley.
Once again thank you for your comments. I have definitely gained some things from your comment which will be helpful in my mission.
