I like making donations to charity organizations to help needy people. I have been donating to local, national, and international organizations, whenever I can. One of the local groups I have been donating to is the "Foodbank". This group provide food to people in dire need like homeless people, no food, no place of their own, no income, totally helpless. It is nice to help those people. Do you donate to charity organizations ?

Hey, No I do not donate to charities, mainly because I do not work at the moment. I still am looking for a job and once I get a job, I will donate the excess money that I might not need, because there are some real poor people out their. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

Back in the day when my mom was alive And I had more money ,I would buy two dolls and two trucks or cars for Toys For Tots during Christmas.I love shopping and since there is no kids in my family ,I would love to be in the Christmas rush and buy toys. It would always make me smile because I was told that Christ said what you do to the poorest you do to me or something like that so all I could think is Iam buying two dolls for Christ for His birthday.

Well till last february I was not doing any kind of donations, but in February thought of celebrating my baby's first birthday with handicapped childrens and that decisions has changed my life. The thought came to my mind just like that, and thought of giving sweets to the handicapped childrens, and you will not believe that when we went over there to share the sweets, the expressions on their faces were awesome, they were still happy and enjoying their times without any worries or tension that they are not normal. They were strong enough to face the situation and were more stronger than us, who are normal but still we broke down at some point of time in life, when the things are not in our favour. I have decided to do this charity every year, on my baby's birthday and also do whenever I can.

I am sure, as you said, the expressions on their faces must be really awesome. They must be so happy that some one came to help them, feed them. It is excellent that you are doing the charity every year, on your baby's birthday.

I am still a student, so my budget is limited. I like to donate to charities, so when I have chances, I always do that as much as I can. It is a pleasant to do something good for other people.

We make our donations via giving the local charity shops all our old clothes, dvds, toys and things we have no use for, it helps them make some money for the charity by selling them in the shop. I much rather give it to them than try and sell it myself. It also helps us by clearing out stuff that we don't want or use any more, our way of recycling. I also send money to an animal shelter that we got our cat from. We were very fortunate to have a wonderful cat so we help the shelter going with regular donations.

There are charity shops in the city I live too. Yes, it is good to donate items there. As you say, they make money for charity. The animal shelter where you got your cat sounds similar to the Humane Society. In fact, I got my cat from there.

I do not donate to charities but I actually do sponsorship. I've been sponsoring a child through World Vision since 2 years ago. She is a 8 year old girl from the southern part of Thailand and her parents have difficulties in sending her to school. The sponsorship will last to the day when she starts stepping herself into the working world and therefore it is a long term commitment for me. World Vision will deduct my monthly sponsorship (which is about 1% of my monthly income) via my credit card. Isn't it meaningful to spend a bit less but you are able to help a child to go to school? She will send me Christmas Card (self-drawn) every year with all the Christmas messages and reports on her progression in school and this is giving me a very meaningful Christmas for the past 2 years.

Oh, that is so wonderful. Yes, I have seen the children sponsorship program on the World Vision website. You are indeed giving most invaluable help to the child. Her parents would very much appreciate what you are doing for their daughter.

I really like to help other people who are in need. If I have chance I donate some of my clothes and old things to charity. And there was one time I our motorcycle group conducted a Christmas caroling, and all that we have earned from that was donated a children s charity.

Honestly speaking i am not in favor of donating cash to persons or organisations, if i see a hungry person i will take him to a eating place, feed him as much as he can eat, if i give money he will buy liq@uor, i have tasted this.. Thanks for sharing Have a nice day ahead. Professor ‘@Bhuwan@’. .
