I'm Going To Florida And Would Like To Meet Up With Some Mylotter Friends!

Hey Mylotters! Opal here! I've finally booked my flight and
will be leaving NY on July 29th going to Ft. Lauderdale, FL!
And I would love to meet up with some of my fellow mylotters
who are in that vicinity! I have spoken to a few who have
already expressed an interest in knowing when I would be
coming down their way! So, I thought I would make this a
discussion and see if I could find out who I could maybe meet
while I'm there! I will be there until August 7th! And while
I'm gone I will miss my friends here because I will have no
internet connection! I am visiting my Mom! No computer there~

Oh my dear frien, you have a lovely time and hope you will a few mylotters, wouldn't that be grand?, but don't worry you just go enjoy it, we will still be here when you get back and eger to hear about your adventures, love and hugs.

Hey Opal! I'm in Jasper, Alabama, which is 43 miles northwest of Birmingham. Fort Lauderdale is in northeastern Florida, isn't it? 
I don't remember where it's located on the map exactly. Since you will be flying, I don't know how it will be possible for us to meet. Maybe we can work something out, though.

Yes, maybe someday. If you're ever in Birmingham in the future, maybe I can meet you there. The problem is, I don't have a very dependable car any more. If I go anywhere out of town, somebody will have to drive me. I really hate this because I've always considered myself to be independent. I've learned in the last few years that we all need help sometimes, though.
Also, since I'm living on SSI now, I can't afford to travel right now. Kathy.

Hello Opal. We will definitely miss you a lot , every day , every hour. But, I wish you a happy trip. And, have a nice time meeting up with fellow myLotters. That is ofcourse an excellent opportunity. Give my greetings to them too ! Ha ha !

Hi Opal, I really hope you will meet some mylotters whilst there, it is a lovley experience and wonderful to be able to make real deep friendships with people you may never of known apart from through mylot. If I lived in the States I would come and see you hun..but am in the UK and have been fortunate enough to meet our Fishy Friend..he is really lovely...hugs LoLo

its great your visiting your mom. now i feel so bad. because i was in florida and could have seen you had i stayed longer. sure would have liked to meet you.

Hey bunny! I wish you still lived there too! Right now I
have been checking on the weather there and it is just as
lousy there as it is in NY! It is going to be thunderstorming
the whole time I'm there and my plan was to get some suntime
and swim! I see that this is not going to be good, but my
tickets are non-refundable so I have no choice! Maybe we will
get to meet someday! I do have relatives in Arizona, but I
don't like them!

That's funny, I will also be in Florida next month, but from the 12th of August until the 19th, so we won't be seeing each other, though I will be in Destin, Florida anyway, so I don't think we would have haha. I am so excited to get to the beach and in the warm water! So much better than the Atlantic, which is so cold. But anyways, I hope you have a great trip, enjoy yourself!

Hi jan! So far, no takers! I really don't know who lives in
the area near my mother since Florida is so big! I'm really
going to see my mom and get some sun and swim, although she
keeps telling how lousy the weather is! Great! I'm going to
miss being able to come here and of course miss my Star &

i think thats a tad bit. weird. you want to meet up with some people from online. i guess thats ok in a way. because your going to a state where you don't know anyone. and your hoping they might show you around. i did that only once. i was going to flordia as well and i remember one of myspace friends is from there. but she ended up leaving one city away. and she couldn't meet me. were just kids. so i hope you find a mylot to hang out with!

Hey tiffany, It's not weird, I actually have a few mylotter
friends who live in Florida that have said that when they
know that I'm going to be there that they would like to try
to meet up with me! I am going there to see my Mother and one
of my very close friends!

Tiffany, when you have known people a while on here, it is not that weird. I went to see a friend in Minnesota when I went to see my daughter and new grandbaby in June. It was a fun trip. It also gives us even more things in common.

Wolfie sniffs, not fair, most of my friends are too far away for me to see! I hope you have a wonderful time my dear friend, you sure deserve it, have fun and don't do anything I wouldn't do (he he he!) safe journey and I shall look forward to hearing all about it on your return. I do hope you get to meet a few of them! It's so much fun to connect with your friends from here and have the opportunity to speak to them face to face! I can't wait until I get another chance to meet another mylotter! We should have a big picnic sometime! LOL....we'll miss you while you are gone too!

Hey jill! I'm kind of getting worried! So far, no takers!
I wish mylot would arrange some sort of convention, but it
would be difficult still since so many of our friends are
across the ocean! Nine days without mylot is going to be a
real challenge for me!

I'm taking the kids to Disney in October. That is going to be my very first time in FL. But I'm not excited. I foresee 5 days of screaming kids, heat, humidity, and having nightmares about large rodents.
Try to have fun on your trip even without your computer. I love going away without mine. It truly is a vacation.

Hey cynical! I am the only "kid" that has never been to
Disney still! My mom won't take me! (She's 79)! Your kids
will love it! As for you, hmmmm.... October is a good time
to go, except it is hurricane season! Have a wonderful time
because it will be trip that you and your family will treasure
