Dress code in colleges have become a serious issue for debate. It is understandable that young people would prefer to wear dresses in tune with the latest fashion. But lately, it has become fashionable for even married middle aged women to wear revealing clothes in public places. Is this a good trend?

I just think men are chauvenistic. The woman knows what she is comfortable in and I believe she should be given her freedom. If you feel so strong about it..let all the men in India start wearing dhotis, I will stand for women wearing Saris. Men..please come out of your shell and see the outer world. Give woman her freedom...she knows what is best for herself. I'm sure she is as grown as you are and is much more intelligent than you.

It depends on where you are - I mean it depends on the country. If you wear kind of revelaing dress in India, all the guys will look at you. I have personally experienced this, but it doesn't happen in other western countries. My husband is born and brought up in America so he doesn't mind me wearing revealing clothes. Sometiems I wear those kind of clothes when we go out together to beach or shopping. He will be happy to see me in that dress and will say - I look sexy! I enjoy it.

I have seen that Indian men have a special liking towards saree. I personally feel saree is a very romantic dress. Now a days most of the young girls in India wear chridar because it is easy to wear and more comfortable. I have heard guys saying, they will get romantic on a sudden if they see thir wife in saree. She wears saree only once in a while and that makes it special.

I don't think that my husband would allow me to wear anything revealing since I am in his country. And besides, I myself would refrain from wearing indecent clothes outside. For sure I can wear shorts, sleeveless and other sexy and revealing clothes inside our house where only my husband can see me. In a country that I am now, it will be unpleasant if i do that since it is a conservative country where women wears burqa and sarees. I don't like people staring at me as I am the center of attraction nor distraction to them if I would wear shorts or anything revealing. Sometimes, we need to know that wearing proper clothes is better because you also respect their customs and not to let man sin because you are depicting an image which is in the world and not of Christ.

My fiancee does not like me wearing skin showing dresses. Ofcourse even I do not feel comforatble wearing them. He loves me and has given freedom to wear whatever I like and whenever we go for shopping he makes me to buy froks and long skirts as they are not revealing clothes.

The more u cover the body the more suspense is there for ogling eyes. ALl curiosity is lost when too much is exposed.. thx

No, I wouldn't want roving eyes to be all over my wife's or daughter's body! My wife once asked me if she could wear something revealing, I said NO right away. Yes, I'm being protective because I don't want anything to happen to her. When men see women revealing their flesh, God knows what these people are thinking of in their heads. For this reason, Muslim women are not supposed to expose their body to the public. By covering their body, men could only see their faces, which is more than enough. That's my personal thought.
