Why do some men fall for women older than their age?

I didn't quite to get a straight answer on this one that's why I'm asking it now. My brother had very interesting taste for ladies older than he is. And now had a son with girl even older than I am. But of course, I don't really meddle with the affairs of the heart. For as long my siblings are loved by their chosen partners, I'm happy for them. Going back to the topic, I just don't quite get the reason why he prefer women older than he is. I don't ask him this question because for one I don't want to sound disrespectful and second my soon to be sister-in-law is kind and I know she deserves him like he deserves her.

I think it all boils down to preference. Some old guys like young women and some young men like older women. I think it has got something to do with chemistry as well as how both communicate with each other.
As for myself, I don't mind any kind of age as long as there is love, chemistry and respect for each other. It's so cool that your brother is happy with the love of his life..

I really don't know. I'm an older woman and I've had younger guys ask me out and sometimes it really puzzles me too. I'll go somewhat younger but for the most part, I don't think that I have much in common with someone way way younger and for me....just feels weird. In the cases that it actually works, I'd say that they must have a lot in common emotionally and the attraction must go way beyond physical. It's kind of cool really, I think.

I see it that way as well. I admire my soon to be sister-in-law for loving my brother despite their age. Before his current relationship, my brother had previous relationship with other women and one of them, I found out, was not taking him seriously because his young. I hate the idea that that woman, is toying around with my brother's feelings considering that he'd move heaven and earth for her. Good thing they broke up. I'm so relieved. Although my brother had not spoken with me for months, it's all worth it. I told his current girlfriend that I'm not against what they have for as long as they are happy and they honestly love each other.

I don't understand this either; I knowsome of the people state they don't care about age gap in a relationship but I personally cannot accept this, I don't think I would be get into a relationship with a man who is a lot younger than me, I would look at it like big sister and little brother?
But it is good that your brother and sister-in-law are having good relationship together, if it is the case, nothing can beat that.

I believe it is all about the love they both share where they do not bother too much about the age gap between them, my mother is elder than my father and I think even before they were not so keen about each other's age for their love was greater, however I have seen guys who say that they prefer older women in their live because they believe they are more mature, more experienced and more responsible. I got a friend who told me that he cannot imagine himself to be with a woman younger than him just because he feels she will not be good for him.

that's the reason, he find in that girl the things he wanted for a wife. and also heart cannot be directed as to whom to love. another thing maybe your brother find it appealing, the woman has a mystery of her own that only a guy like your brother can fall in love with. usually, man falls in love to an older woman because he finds in her a mother, a sister, a soul mate, a best friend, an understanding and wisdom only older woman can give, especially an emotional maturity and her outstanding kindness.

However, what I understand is that when a younger man gets married to a woman older to his age, he might be looking for some security and some motherly treatment from his elder-in-age wife. Perhaphs the guy in question loves to be commanded by an elderly wife. I think your brother, who has been successfully living with an elder wife, can also throw some light on this issue....LOl! (pl. do not feel shy to ask him.....LOL!).

It would be good to hear from your brother. If he is shy, grill him until he speaks. I do not feel it is disrespectful. LOL. There could be hundred and one reasons and I am sure not everyone will have the same reason. The common reason people always give is they are more comfortable with older woman who are more matured. Perhaps they feel the motherly love.

This is not an easy answer for it can be different for every person that is like asking why does a certain person tend to date blonds or blue eyes ect. Generally speaking most people have a type I believe we dont pick them it is chemistry it is part of who we are. Personally I perfer older men always have it is not that they are older more there way or thinking the way we connect. I have dated people my own age as well as younger and in the end it was all similiar.

I think it is about the old adage that maybe age has nothing to do with it. I don't look my 35 years and get along very well with people of all ages, when I was 33 i met a guy out at a bar and I knew straight away that he was younger than I, we talked and finally I had to ask him if he knew how old I was, some guys just can't judge age like girls can, I think women are better at it. He just said he didn't need to know how old I was and we dated for the next 6 months and age was never an issue - sometimes it is more of an issue for other people than for the couple involved.

I think it has to do with personalities, interests and chemistry. Some women fall for older men, and some men fall for older women. I don't think age really matters that much. I think that how they feel about one another and treat each other is what really matters. My husband is younger than me, and we have a lot of fun and like a lot of the same things.

I think it's simply all about attraction. I was married to a guy 8 years younger than me and he was not attracted to younger women. It didn't last - partly because of the age difference but there was a cultural difference as well. My next partner was also 8 years younger and the relationship was not about our ages, it was just that we got together and we were a good fit. People fall in love for all different reasons but not because of how old they are.

Funny you should ask! I am nine years older than my husband of thirteen years. When he and I met we were certainly not looking for anyone is a particular age group. We met, became friends and eventually fell in love.
It took me a while to make a commitment because the age difference was an issue for me at first. I am glad I got over that; we have a daughter now and age is irrelevant for us, in fact I’m sure he is more mature than me!
Age is age and love is love, they should not have anything to do with each other!

My views on this my friend is that men, fall to women older than their age is about maturity. Because mature women is much responsible than young women. Another is that professionalism in terms personal caring and much understanding than young women.
Young women is that much prone for cheating husband than mature women. Mature women is much considerate than young women. Young women is always guys follows what she is trying to conceptualize and hard to understand sometimes because of inexperience in one common things.
For me like women, that is older than me...
