The Philippines and Chinese Taipei produced a lot of billiard winners in recent years. Because of that, they made a heated rivalry. I am from the Philippines but It is still a big question for me regarding which country is better now

I think malaysian billiard player is the best. Its only that in Malaysia billiard is not such a big sport.

I respect your opinion mate :) hmm.. but I'm not too familiar with the players from Malaysi. I know one good player but i know that he's also a Filipino who became a citizen in Malaysia

Yeah, actually there are many, i mean very many pool players in the philippines, even in the street billiard halls that are world class.

The problem with the Philippines is that there are too many good players and very few opportunities. Alex Pagulayan for instance, had to go to Canada and be a citizen there just to get the exposure needed to become a Pool Star. I really think we should develop Billiards in the country just as much as we do Basketball and Boxing because we really REALLY have good player. BTW Efren Reyes just beat a Taipei star in a Legends race to 50 Duel a while back. I say Philippines is still best in Asia, and only when Efren Retires will I ever consider taking another look if someone has already caught up.
