Do you often sell items online? Ebay is a popular site- is that what you usually use? Do you ever use Craigslist or something else? What kinds of things do you usually sell?

I think so far ebay still is the best way for individual to selling online. I usually use it eventhough it's seldom. Recently i found a new way to selling online for individual. Most of my friends using friendster and something like social networking site to promote their products. Payment made by bank transfer or even paypal. But of course it's only available for local country. I think it's a good idea because we can have our own website for our products eventhough the website is only free pages from free social networking site, but our credibility can be checked from our testimonials and friend lists. Happy mylotting.

I know Ebay and Craiglist, but I don't use those sites to sell my things. I have an online gallery and I use that site to sell my paintings, my photomanupulations and my cards. I get many visitors, but I don't sell a lot of paintings through my online gallery. In the beginning of 2009 I had an exhibition at a café, and I discovered that it was much easier to sell my art that way. People tend to get more interested in buying my things when they see them in real life instead of seing a picture on the internet. I still keep my online gallery, and I hope to sell some of my things that way, but it isn't easy.

Sounds like it's probably nicer that way.

Yeah for me often selling online for almost any item would be ebay. Craiglist can be faster though if you want cash fast, and if your selling items for cheap. But if your going to do a local meetup, bring a friend, sometimes on news people get robbed. But your best safe way is ebay.

I think you are right about this... Ebay seems to be more safe and reliable than Craigslist.

I tried ebay but instead of gaining money I lost some so I did craiglist for selling even cheaper items that I don't use it anymore. I sold many times on Craiglist maybe 15 or more items. But i built my free site to selling items but still on hold because of shipping and handling where it's much complicated on doing so it's kinda stand still nothing move yet on my store.
