Here's a snippet of my day. What about yours?

I get up at around 6, rush to take shower, stop a moment to decide on the dress I would wear in between gulping some food (sandwiches, tea//milk whatever) and then rushing out for office, a hospital in the city. Office time is fun time for I love my job as doing semi medical things with my boss, an ace Cardiologist of the country. Patients' counseling, scheduling OTs, managing the dept, before relaizing it's lunch time. I eat with my boss who brings food from home. There are couple of other two doctors who come down to relax. Eating time is kind of letting go ourselves. Them again work follows - same kind of stuffs but now I get to sulk. I come back at around 8. It takes almost one and half hour to reach home. I take shower, eat and then sit infront of computer, do a lot of me-activities, watch TV sometimes and go to bed. It just takes a few lines to make me fast sleep. And tomorrow is another day, may be repetitive, but not monotonous. I try to find the color in the same job. May be I am lucky! What about you guys? Share your daily snippet with me.

Hi Mimpi! Many thanks for sharing snippet of your day with us. You have quite a hectic schedule and I think it would be very tiresome to travel both ways and to deal with so many patient/general public/Doctors/Medical Representatives etc. and simultaneously attending to computer/internet, besides taking calls in between your chores. Hats off to you for being so hard working. You appear to have lots and lots of energy and something keep prompting you from inside to manage your affairs using all your hidden fire. As far as my days goes, I also get up very early in the morning, at around 5.30 a.m.. Then I go to fetch fresh milk and simultaneously go for my morning walk. When I return I keep helping my kids to prepare them for their schools. In the meantime, I also do my other activities to get ready for my office, e.g. shaving etc.. I attend to part time maidservant also who drops in between, supervising her work of cleaning utensils, moping and cleaning floors. I take bath and then go to my roof top to water my plants and I spend some time with my platns/flowers and it looks to me as they keep waiting for me to come and see them every morning (BTW, I wrote a short peom about my experience with my plants/flowers few days ago............here is the link: http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/1959392/beautiful_flowers.html?cat=10) Thereafter, sometimes, I prepare my breakfast for me and my better half or she does it for me. We pack our lunch and then rush to office on bike. In office, it is cool. I do not have to face any external 'public dealing'. I spend my time in office, executive all the tasks, which are assigned to me and receiving telephone calls. I leave my office by 5.30 p.m or so and reach home by 6.30. Then I spend some time with my better half chatting with her about day's activities, while sipping a cup of tea/coffee along side her. Then I go to market to fetch any house-hold item or anything demanded by kids. Dinner is normally taken at 8.00 to 8.30 p.m.. Then we both go for our evening walk. I retire to bed by 10.00 or 10.30 and before retiring to bed, if I am not very tired, I watch 'Moment of Truth' on star (Hindi version) or 'celibrity in jungle' at Sony. However, my Saturdays and Sundays are off, so during weekend our routine changes and we go for outing/shopping and meeting someone and in between take plenty of rest.

I rarely get up so early. I'm normally up by 7:30 and in a rush to finish everything after that and that includes getting to read the newspaper as well while having my breakfast. It's then to beat the morning traffic to get to the office at time. Work used to be very hectic in a logistics line, but had slowed down over the last few months. That gave me alot of free time at the office. We've started on a new venture and i'ts been keeping me tied up for the last few days. After that it's normally home, a few snacks, some TV, online activity, dinner a good stroll, online activity again, TV and then off to sleep. It does get monotonous as well at times, but then it's up to us to get the best of it isn't it ?

Now that you have reminded me about kebabs. A good movie is something i sure would like to see.. It's been a while since i took off on along drive as well. It helps to get a good break from the regular routine .

So if you can't pack your rucksack, you can always go for along drive. A few kebabs would spice it up. So ready for this weekend?

That's pretty much a routine without much of interesting things. But then, as you have said, we need to make the best of things for sometimes we have no choice but to live it. Spicing it up with stuffs that amuse us would be great. Socialising with like minded people, eating out (may be more kebabs), going for swimming (clubbing is optional)and watching a good movie - all can actually make living different. We get to recharge enormously thus.

HI, my friend. You are lucky you get to start your day at 6am. I start mine between 4 or 5 am everyday, but on weekends i get to sleep a little longer, because i get up at 5 or 6am. I start by preparing breakfast then after that , off to the market to buy food for our lunch, good thing the market is just one block away from our house. Then, after finishing with the food and everything at the kitchen, it's time for my shower and of course, i get to check on my emails and discussions on mylot. Though, i do not get to answer them, its been part of my day to check them. I work in the city government and i am one of the secretarial staff of the city council's secretary. My work is to attend to committee hearings/meetings to take notes and assists the city Council during these meetings and then make the transcript/journals of the minutes of the meeting/hearing and make the committee report. It is not everyday that there are meetings/hearings but there are days that we have 4 meetings/hearings a day. Each day is spent listening to the tapes of each meeting and encoding everything, meaning every word that have been said during the meeting. I know it sounds a little boring but i do enjoy my work and i love it. Then, at the end of the day, i go home and relax a bit, then have dinner with my girls and father. After which, i get to watch tv with them and get to do my stuff with the computer and have a little me time. I sleep at about 12mn or even later, then up again at 4am the next morning. It gets a little exciting sometime because i get to meet different people and working for the city council is not at all bad.I have been in this job for 15 years and i enjoy it though, it is often so taxing especially during days that all the council members want their transcripts/journals and reports almost all at the same time. But i think i work best under pressure, i don't know but it is when i have so much energy. That's how i get to spend each day.

Hello, numbers,LOL~~ You know what, several months,I lead a life just like you. But I was very happy, lived with several friends ,we ate on ourselves,I mean we cook by ourselves,we did the shopping , buy somefood, vegetables, during the daytime,we played computer games, cards, watched the NBA matches ,jogged everywhere we wanted to go,hanged out all the day some time. But you know you can't always live in that way,we have to make a living by ourselves, not on the money supplied by our parents,so we all came out and found a job, until now~~ But now I miss that kind of life and I miss my old good friends.~~ and thanks for sharing~

Mine is more pathetic. But somewhat similar. Waking up at 5 am. Still very tired. Then getting ready at abnormal high speed. Some food which I can't never actually relish. Then a 2 hour journey to office, an IT MNC. work the whole day with so many programs to write, so many analysis to do and many more meetings .Its late when i start back home. I am already very tired and reach about 9.30. then there is no time. change dress, take bath and take dinner at equal speed like morning and go to bed.

Now, my day…I am up before dawn every day, around four a.m. and today I tended to my animals, cleaned one of the bathrooms and the toilets, tidied up, made breakfast and had a shower. After taking my daughter to school I went to the shops and bought some groceries, came home, did some writing until lunchtime. I met my girlfriend for lunch and we sat and talked until it was time to pick our kids up from school. After that, my daughter had a shower and did her homework and I cooked dinner. We sat down to eat when my husband came home and now I am sitting here MyLotting while watching T.V. Tomorrow I will do it all again minus the lunch!

I get up late today, usually I wake up at 5.45, but today i wake up at 6.30 am, rushing, didn't have time to eat breakfast, usually I eat breakfast at 6.40, and by 7 am I at my work place. My work place is 30 second walk, then nothing much. Sitting in front of the computer, cooking and taking bath. I guess my daily habit is very repetitive, but I kind ok with it. Tomorrow will be a new day, but I hope today I can start seriously writing. I keep delay it. Happy Mylotting

Heyya mimpi...my snippet..lol...Wake up at 5AM..grab a drink and get on computer for a few minutes before showering and heading off to work. I am very challenged at work because I am in management and I never know what the issues of the day will be..maybe they hate me today ..maybe they love me..lol...you never know when dealing with people.get off work and drive home where I collapse on my couch..talk to the girls...dinner...my time..computer,writing, reading...something. Then off to bed for another day. My girls start back to school next month so my day will include homework and extra curriculars. That cuts in to the my time of the evening..lol...but that's ok..it mixes things up.

Hi Mimpi. It has been nice to know you little closer. Well my day starts off at around 7.00 am.I rush to kitchen to sterilize my son's bottles.Meanwhile i iron my clothes and then again go to the kitchen to make breakfast for me and for my husband and pack my lunch too.I rearrange the bed and do little bit dusting and cleaning jobs Then i go to shower and then get ready for the office. My hubby drops me at my office at 9.30 am and then my office day begins with accounting work.As i am an internal auditor,i do data entry, reconciliation and checking also and it keeps me occupied for the whole day.In between times i log on to mylot and other sites of my interest. Then i get back home at 6.30 pm ,plays with my son, arrange clothes,do little bit of washing and cleaning and then prepare dinner alone.I make sure to cook dinner before 8.00 pm as it is the time of my husband to return home. While he gets freshen up,i bathe my son and feed him with his baby food. Then at around 9.00 pm we have our dinner and chat.I cannot just go to sleep unless my baby sleeps,so when he sleeps at around 10.30 pm ,i immediately say my prayers and off to bed.

Hi Mimpi, I'd say you are such a busy girl, and you have an exciting job. Me, I wake up at 4:45am, take a shower, then wake my older son up so he can take his shower while I dress up for work. Then my younger son follows, and we all have breakfast, and at 6am we're out of the house. I drop them off at school, and I proceed to my office. I work in human resources dept. of a health care company, and just like any job, I work from 8 to 5. A normal day at work would be attending to employees' concerns, administration of compensation and benefits, recruitment, policy-making - well, all those HR stuff. Then at around 5:30 I head back home, listen to the radio while I drive home to catch the news that I missed in the morning. At home, I help the kids with their homeworks/assigments, then at around 7:30pm, have dinner with them. Then take a shower and then it's time to talk to my husband over at Skype (he works in another country), that's around 9pm. I also start with my internet activities during this time. Then I go to bed at 9:30 coz my kids won't sleep if they don't see me in bed too. Once they are asleep, I go back to the computer to continue myLotting and if my husband hasn't left for work yet(evening in my country is morning in the country where he works), we resume our "sweet talk" until he leaves to work, I stay on the computer a little more until I get sleepy and that's around 11pm. It's very routinary, but I enjoy it nonetheless because I live each day doing the things I love to do, spend them with my loved ones, and get the best life has to offer.

Hi mimpi what a very energetic day for you. I do always get up around 4:30 am to prepare breakfast for my daughter and also for her pack lunch, she go to school at 6am so she must be wake up to 5am and eat breakfast. After she gone for school since I don't have an outside job, I do only have a small cooking business here my house. I do my household chores, go to the market and buy what ever food I'm gonna sell for the whole day. After my cooking and selling activities are done It's time for me to relax and sit here in front of my computer and do what ever I have to do. It is fun for me to be busy all day I feel contented what I have. I still have time to talk to my hubby and chat with him before I go to sleep.

Mine would be: Woke up at 9.30. Shower. Put on uniform. Commute to school. Class at 10.30. When class ended at 12, bought raw materials for our production in the afternoon. Had lunch at a friend's house. Prepared the ingredients for our product and watched tv while waiting for other group members. Got into the production proper well into the afternoon. Took snacks. Went to class at 6.30pm. Commute going home. Got home. Fed the dogs. Changed to home clothes. Connected to the internet and relaxed.^_^ Im going to sleep after I get through to the daily mails. Tomorrow has a different schedule and I actually have a lot to do so Im making the most out of 'chill time' tonight.

Hey mimpi! That sounds so wonderful! It sound's like the perfect job to me! I used to love my jobs when I worked in the Medical Field! Those were my very favorite jobs ever! I didn't care how many hours that I worked because I truly loved what I was doing, just as you described! If I could do that now I would still be so happy! I don't know how you even have any time to mylot! You must be totally exhausted when you get back home! That is a very long day and before you know it it is time to go back and do it all over again! Good for you to be able to handle all of that! It brought back so many fond memories for me! Thanks Mimpi and keep up the great work! Hugs, Opal

We tend to live our lives in routine. Especially Mondays, where it is the first day of work. I just don't have the energy to be cheerful about going back to work. Unless it is a pay day. We live our lives in routines. I have seen it. Wake up, shower, drink coffee, have breakfast, go to work, count down to lunch hour, tired at lunch hour, drag ourselves back to work, count down to off work hour, go back home, clean up, lay down, and then it's already a night call. I need to break away from such routine. I go for a movie on Thursday. I try to pick up a game on Tuesday. Maybe force myself to meet friends after on other weekdays.

Today isn't too busy a day for me luckily. I woke up had breakfast, did a bit of college university work before surfing the net. Now im about to go for my daily exercise today a 30min run when I get back I will practice my lines for my screen acting class tonight where we are filming a short film. On return from acting class I will learn and revise my French homework as I will attend my French class at the local alliance Francaise tommorow. Before I go to bed I might search for some travel deals as due to the recession some really great package deals can be found.
