@#$%^$#!!! I loved that watch!! Nice big white face, nice sharp and big black numbers, 3 moving hands, second hand a different colour from the other two so I could tell the difference, and not look at the Second Hand when I wanted to see the Minute Hand, and it worked really well. Every year I'd go to one of my favourite stores, and get a new strap, and a new battery for it. Last night the stupid thing stopped, and today I decided to get a new battery. I got the battery, paid, and ran for the bus. When I got outside, I saw that it still was not working. I took it back, and they told me the battery was fine, the watch was the problem. DANG!!!! Now I need to get a new watch.
Anyone else out there go absolutely bonkers when you don't have a working watch? I feel like I'm missing a hand, or something!! LOL

I'm sorry to hear about your watch problem but afraid I can't relate. I haven't worn a watch in probably 20 or more years. Drives me crazy not to have a clock in sight but can't stand to wear a watch - always catching on something or just annoyes me having something on my wrist, feel like I have a handcuff on or something - is that weird or what :(

My idea of hard physical labour is typing. haha So I don't have to worry about it catching on anything.

LOL - hard labor typing - that's what I do all day, that and talk on the phone but also have ADD so I always manage to get caught on something - got my phone headset twisted up in my hair just today - don't has me how but I did, girl next to me had to help get it untangled :(

i actually can't wear them.something about my body chemistry messes them up.
they start losing time, then stop.so if i have one,it goes in my pocket instead.
but yes,i need one for the bus.
i usually get digital ones, but i do have a nice old style one.

Oh no! And good watches are usually often hard to replace. I have noticed that now I need the big numbers too, and a solid background preferably white.
I actually don't wear a watch at all - allergic to the metal really badly -. Neither do I use my cell to see what time it is. I might glance at a clock in a store in passing, but so far I do really good without a watch :):)
Still I know what you are feeling. I still tried to use a watch some time after I got my allergy, and it was very hard to find bracelets that didn't have any metal in them - even just the little pin. So every time I found one I wanted it go last forever :)

That would be a good enough reason not to own a watch. I'm usually very good with watches, it's just the "inbetween" period when I don't have one, that's hard. I must have looked at my wrist 500 times today.

Not me! I used to be that way, but several years ago I stopped wearing a watch. I have 2 that I really like a lot but I have some kind of cyst or something on my left wrist that was getting irritated, and I thought why do I need to have a watch on all the time, so I just stopped wearing it. I have a cute one with a pop up cover and the face has an Anne Geddes picture of a little baby dressed as a bee on it. The other watch I have my sister made for me. It has a beaded band and the first time I wore it, it fell off my wrist at a restaurant, so she changed the clasp on it. It is a bit too tight so I haven't worn it at all!!

I use to wear a watch once in a while when I was younger, but never on a daily basis. I don't care for the way they feel on my wrist. I do like braclets, but they are loose & not as wide, not the ones I wear anyway! Especially since my cell phone is glued to me all the time, I don't have a need for a watch since the time is on my phone. I DO know someone who could use a watch! His name starts with J!!

I'm sorry to hear that. I used to wear a watch all of the time but rarely do anymore. I do wear a wrist band though and I feel naked without it on also. I hope you get your new watch soon.

My watch is worth repairing and I've had to do it twice. Yep, I feel like I'm missing a hand when I don't have my watch. I keep looking at my wrist and nothing's there and it drives me nuts.

I have three watches so when one goes out I've got a spare. Not sure what is wrong with your watch though. They are not made to last forever, maybe the jeweler could clean it out and blow the dust from the inner workings to see if that would help.

This reminds me when i bought that second hand old old cellphone to a store owned by a Muslim guy..no offense but am not generalizing every one, just a more few scums out there. here's the story, i heard rumors in my country doing good business to customers but very very bad customer service and that also includes indirect fraud. i bought that phone for 10$,he said if there's a problem , he promised he'll replaced it free..but when there was no Signal, i went back, he said he'll trade it for another 12$..what the hell?! i never went back and a family friend went pissed because he boils when ever he hears fraud or scam..but i don't wanna cause trouble with a Muslim, most of them are violent and vengeful here.SO, i never went back and promised never to buy from local Phone store when they sell "stolen" or poor fixed phones.

Hey there danishcanadian! Don't feel so sad, I'm sure you'll find a suited watch for you, maybe not better than the one you lost, but hey better than no watch at all right?... I never get out of the house without my wrist watch, whenever I do I just feel like there's something missing.
