I dont know if this is a topic of debate in the West, where people are by and large non vegetarians. But this is a very hotly debated topic in countries like India, where there is a mix of both veggies and non veggies. while some have adopted a veg diet through force of custom and belief, some others have adopted to veg diet by choice. There are also this group of people who are extensive consumers of animal products. Veggies argue that veg diet suits human body and it helps in intellectual growth and mental peace. The non veggies counter it citing, non veg food as a good protein supplement and for physical development. Do both have a case to argue?

It is just a matter of personal opinion. For every one their chosen path is the best. Ofcourse they may have a reason to attach with this.

veggie stuff is better for the sole reason that our system digests it faster. No additional strain on the digestive system thx

Nothing is superior or inferior here. It ais ll about eating good food, changing the life style. Non-veg foods are also healthy, meat, chicken all this is very rich in protein and doctors say that veggies have very little choice in this case.
I am not against veggies ...infact I appreciate their life style sticking to green leaves, green vegetables...but somehow I find it difficult to change to vegetarian but I am striving to...but eating sea foods is good for health.
So eat healthy food, be it veg or non-veg :-)

Veg food is believed to enhance intelligence. Have u noticed one thing. we feel drowsy after consuming non veg. This is because our system works over time to digest the stuff just putting on additional strain on the brain... thx think over

Around 20 years ago I became a vegetarian after eating meat since childhood. However, it did not suit me at all as I started to become weak and have many different health problems. A vegetarian friend of mine told me that I had probably did it too suddenly. I continued with my vegetarian diet, and did all the research to ensure I was getting the right amount of protein etc. but my problems still continued. In the end I went back to eating meat in small amounts and my health started to improve again. Maybe in a next life perhaps.

basically vegetarian diet lacks proteins... compared to non vegetarian diet and as the reason why you see people who consume non veg are superior than veggies but of course it's not in all cases like you do get substitutes in veg diet but it's hard to come by..like a diet consisting of pulses and lentils contains proteins but it's costlier compared to beef or chicken which have more protein content.. so that's why non vegetarians are most likely to be superior in physical aspects as compared to vegetarians

Vegetarian live longer than non-vegetarian. Most vegetarian encounter less diseases such as cancer and coronary heart disease..Their are vegetables with protein like source like soya beans/soybean..they are nature gifts to man..Vegetarian look more younger and healthy than non-vegetarian..with average weight and never look fat..I could live with eating only vegetables and fish..very healthy food

I don't think that FOOD has something to do with a persons Intellectual Mentality and behavior. What motivates a person, his character and composure are related to his belief, be it a custom or a tradition.
Religion or Belief has something to do why people tend to follow such strict plan. Example, Muslims eat Halal foods while Hindus are mostly vegetarians. But whatever is their belief, as long as it is good for their health, i have nothing against it.
We just need to respect each other when it comes to this. Besides, be it a vegetarian or not, if the person is acting DECENTLY and NORMALLY, it will be fine. Happy Mylotting.
