I have been having a horendous seven months, I do not mean that I do not like being here , its just that after all our hopes and dreams, they came crashing down like dominoes. My son lost his job as many of my lot friends probably remember, I am hatley, we got evicted from our apartment, okay thats not the worst, the english lady who via internet with my son Robbie had promised to help us by paying the rent on an apartment in Antioch Ca where her sister lived. Okay my son spent good money to go to Antioch some 600 miles and put down a hundred dollar deposit on the apartment. But the so called english friend reneged on the whole thing. she left us homeless and broke . we stayed with friends for several weeks, then Salvation army,finally we had to seperate my son is in transional housing and I am here at Gold crest in Garden Grove ca a assisted living place. Its better than being homeless and now that I have my computer back I can once again discuss and replay. This is just to t ell every one I am okay and thanks for all your wonderful emails to me. love you all. hatley

I am so sorry for your misfortune and hard times. So many of us here were so worried about you. I am glad that you are no longer homeless and that you are in a good place. Times are really tough out there aren't they? I look forward to reading and responding to your great discussions again. You've been gone a long while and I'm sure that you've had many interesting experiences that you can share here. Welcome back!!!

hi sid556 oh yes all sortsof experiences but not many were
pleasant but now my son found a place for me to live Gold
crest retirement center here in garden grove while he got
place in a gov. sponsored apartment with three other men, all
of them are out of work, but they do have a place to live while they look for jobs.I am so glad to be bAck on Mylot. I missed all
of you so much.

Wow Hatley, Welcome back, sory for late response but not on the Lot as often as I was. I am so so very sorry to hear that you and your son have been let down like this and have gone through as much as you have over the recent months. Pleased to learn though that you are back online and back here at the Lot. I really cannot understand why someone would promise to do something like this and then let you down in this way. my son is only three miles away.he got put in a gov.sponsored

I was wondering what had happened to you. I knew that you were having troubles, but then you were just gone. I am sorry to hear of all the trouble you and your son have been going through. I am however happy to hear that you at least have a place to rest your head at night.

hi lilybug thanks its been a rough time but at least I am not homeless but have a place to stay and my son is in gov.sponsored housing with three other guys all out of work.this way they have a plAce to live while they hunt for jobs. he is only three miles away so comes to see me often. I know we will have better days ahead.

hi fwidman love the new avatar, four months late here, but I am getting caught up. yes everything went to pieces and for a week we had to stay in a Salvation Army Hospitality house, but they were really nice to us, and it was so much better that sitting in a park all night, then my son found this social worker from adult protective services and he got me into Gold crest retirement center,its a nice enough place but some day soon I am hoping my son gets a good job so we can be together again. he is in gov.sponsored housing with three other men all of whom are out of work. he is close so he comes to see me often,

Hatley!!...how great to see you here. Some of us have been very worried about you. You have certainly been having some adventures. How rotten for you to be let down by that woman. I never depend on anyone...you cannot trust people, these days, even those you know.

I wondered where you were. The last I had heard you were being evicted, and that was it. I can't imagine what you've been through. I'm glad you were able to update us. There are a couple of people on my friend list who were having a very hard time of it, and I don't know what has happened to them. I'm glad I at least know how you are.

hi ambiepam I don't know how I missed not commenting on this discussion until now but here I am mylotting away like mad.
It haS been a hard experience but am making a few friends here
and my son comes to see me most weeks, and he is only three miles away. He is in a gov.sponsored apt. with three other men all of whom are out of work. when he gets a job and accumulates some
'money we can get back together. but for now this is okay.

hi echomonster my son I think kept mylot alive for me some
way, anyway I am so glad to be back here and online with
my computer and monitor now. I can settle down here and'
wait for my son to hopefully find a great job and stay 'happy
meantime here on mylot.

hi dorisday1971 yes indeed and for now my being here at Gold
crest was the best we could do, and my son got gov. help to
get into an apartment with three other men so they all would have a home while they looked for work. My son can come see me weekly so thats really good. hope for better days now.

hi diana I cannot believe I got this far behind on my discussions but am catching up before cut off time tonight.he he It has been so good to finally get on the internet again, at first all I could do was listen to music then my son told me about Time Warner cable so I got on cable and the net, and am mylotting away again.

Just so good to see you back again Hatley. I'm sorry that things didn't work out and your English "Friend" really did the dirty on you. We aren't all like that here. Only promise what you can deliver is my motto. Anyway, I am just so thrilled to see you here again. You are a fighter and I just know that you'll come through this and be back together with your son again.

Hello, a few days ago, i was just wondering about you and your son. hi sweetie1026 hi again. I did not realize I had not commented on
this discussion until today. Yes I was so thrilled to be moving
up to Northern Ca. and so distraught when it all went to pieces.
she evidently realized maybe that she could not afford to help us or I don't really know what made her change her mind. we could but just have wished she had done that much earlier when we might have been able to do something else. But thats done so now we
move on to better days hopefully.

Oh, I am so glad to see you again!! Several times people had asked about you, wondering what had become of you. I am so very sorry things turned out like they did. It's a shame that someone made promises that they didn't live up to. That was just plain cruel of them. But, welcome back and HALLELUYAH!!! YES FRIENDS ARE THOSE WITH WHOM WE SHARE FEELINGS, OUR PROBLEMS AND PERSONAL PROBLEMS. a friend who has gone away from us is really makes us feel very bad. one sometimes treat our close friend as a family member. so if our famly member goes far awayfrom us then we really feel very bad.

lucky to have made mylot friends and am so glad to be
back again to mylot and share with you all. I wanted to
tell everyone but had no way to communicate until I got
put here at Gold crest and my son and his best friend
got my computer and monitor out of storage. now I can

hi grace well now since we got down now the only way is up
so we are keeping positive both me and my son. So I am keeping
happy here, mylotting,and also making some friends here.
I know one day soon my son will find a great job and sooner or
