I need to lose weight

Please tell me what worked for you.. I need to lose about 100lbs I gained about 40 thru my last pregnancy and then got my tubes tied, my periods got all screwy and then in the last year I added about another 50lbs on to that. I need to be happy with the way I look again. I just had surgery to fix my periods and Hopefully(fingers crossed) everything will be back to normal now... SO HOW DID YOU DO IT....

Try cutting some carbs. That is my downfall and what I usually need to cut down on to lose weight. I love pasta, potatoes and breads. I will usually cut down on those things and add more veggies. I lost 40lbs just by cutting back on carbs. Also, eat less amounts for meals, but snack on healthy foods more. Better to eat more smaller meals than larger portions three times a day. Good luck!!!

I have a problem with food i suppose my favorite are also breads, pastas and potatoes.. I am at my highest weight of my life though its time to cut back thanks for you suggestions.

I am in the process of trying to get back in shape after having two kids so, I can relate to how you're feeling. When I look in the mirror nowadays I hate what I see so, I decided to do something about it. My aim is to lose 45lbs. I started taking a tea called caribbean dreams slimming tea that controls your appetite so, far I would say its working. I have also placed myself on a low fat diet and trust me you have to be strong to stay away from all the cakes and all. i drink at least 8 glasses or more of water daily and it has been two wks and I have sticked to it. I have thought about the Acai diet preferable Ultimate Acai diet because, my girlfriend uses that and she says it works. I also walk for 30 minutes every morning. Hope this helps you.

what was the surgery you had for the periods?? I have weird ones myself..Don't have them at all sometimes.

actually, my problem is reverse... i want to gain more weight lol. i just eat fruits everytime i feel hungry and cola but in ur case use diet cola.. u dont have to avoid any foods.. just minimize some..

The only thing that consistently works for me is cutting out carbs. Personally, I like the South Beach diet the best. IMHO, Atkins cuts carbs too dramatically. IMHO it's not very healthy and isn't a realistic long term solution. What I love about low carb is that I always feel full. The downside for me is that I would be completely happy to live my life eating nothing but pasta, potatoes and bread. Best of luck to you.

Cut down on your carbs or try taking a supplement that helps with weight loss. There are supplements that help control your appetite and even help your body burn some of the bad carbs we take. You can find some of these supplements on the link provided on my profile.

I'm going to a weight dr. The diet is low cal but filling. I've also taken on walking and drinking LOTS of water. Its been a week, and today I cheated with a BIG slice of cake. Either way, i've lost 6 lbs this week. 55 more to go!

Hi there, My experience losing weight is to cut carbs and stick to a protein with each meal. It helps with the hunger pangs. Fresh fruit and then of course veggies. Don't make it the be all and end all of your life. Try not to think about your weight all day. Get out there and do the walking - it is great and don't forget to drink loads of water. It eventually becomes a life style and all correct eating habits fall into place. Good luck - Estelle

Just have a long sleep, eat less carbs, exercise everyday, and do take some supplements that could help you lose your weight easily. You definitely need a lot of patience but I you are really determined, you can do it! nothing is impossible, goodluck :)
