Well, i'm asking it to you because i'm thinking to do something as second work to save more money. I just terminated my studies and i'm working in a little office in my city but the salary is very veeery low T_T so i would like to try searching for a job in the night-time like waitress or similar. Can you do it? have you experienced it? I need suggestion because i have lots of doubts about it and i need your help:D thank you!

zizza, all you have to do is to assess yourself if you could do it. If after one full 8 hours of work and your body still have something to give, then do some more. As to me, after a day work, and still go to my farm and see something to be done. It took me an hour or two sometimes.

I have worked two jobs for many years and I enjoyed. the only thing that I recommend for you to do is second job be fewer hours and take one day a week off both jobs, that way you don't get burned or stressed out. Waitressing is actually a good second job in that you make tips everyday for extra money, and you can work fewer hours. Good luck on your decision.

yap, i tried working two jobs. it was very very tiring and stressful. i'm always sleepy and very cranky at times. i dont have time to relax and enjoy life. its true i earned extra money but i rather have a low paying job, it less stressful. and besides, i do have extra money as a result of working two jobs, but i can't enjoy it anyway because i have no more time to spend it.

I have considered working two jobs. And right now I am working two jobs because the one isn't cutting it. It's nice to have that extra bit put away for spending. I'm sure you can definitely handle two jobs if you feel you're ready. Many people are working 2 jobs just to make it through everything. I'd say go for it.

A penny saved is a penny earned !!! - Treasure chest filled with pennies.
Would you consider working online a second job? I've had two jobs most of my life but now I enjoy working part-time from home. Well, I take that back. Sometimes, I have so much fun with my articles that it's more of a full-time job, but it's fun! Perhaps, that's just my nerdy side. Anyway, my answer is yes.

Yep! I've done it before, and I'm doing it now! With the economy the way it is and my hubby freaking out about the possibility of him being laid off at some point, I just felt it was necessary to get a few jobs under my belt. My main job is working full-time as an environmental consultant. That makes use of my degrees and is my primary source of income. Regarding side jobs, I am currently the lead singer in a cover band, but we haven't had much work, so I have decided to find something additional. So, I just started with a pet sitting company. I go to people's houses when they're out of town and look after their pets. I take them on walks, feed them, play with them, and generally make sure they are taken care of until their owners get back. I also do daily dog walks on my lunch break for clients that work long hours and can't get home to their dog(s) midday to let them out to go to the bathroom. I can count on one hand how many months I have not had a job since I was 15. I am now 33. Getting work has never been a problem for me. I waited tables for 8.5 years all through high school and college and a couple of years beyond. I've worked as an assistant in a podiatrists office, I've babysat since I was 12. What is really funny about all of this is if I had the money to quit, I would not work at all! I like the success and the money that working brings, but I don't like to work! I would probably keep the pet sitting job, because I love animals, and I really enjoy that job. I would continue to do singing gigs too. But the consulting I would drop in a heartbeat!

You know, I just take it as it comes. I make sure my pet sitting appointments don't conflict with my regular work schedule, and I take singing gigs as they come along if those don't conflict with anything. It isn't too hard as long as you make it clear with the people you are working for what you are doing. My consulting job doesn't care what I do in my spare time, as long as I get my work done here. Regarding the singing thing, I started by doing karaoke contests. I started winning money, so I decided to use my voice and join a band and make a little extra cash on the side. I'm learning the guitar, but I haven't picked it up in months. So I guess you could say I was learning the guitar, and I will soon be learning it again.

Yes you can find a second job. But before you decide to get jobs at night like waitres or similar job, try to look at your schedules. From your personal, your office and the extra time you have. Try to study and look if its not affected you much. Affected your health, your time for the family and your self. But if you think it would not suit on your schedule and you think that it will affect you then try to to find jobs that is 4 hours or part time job maybe 3-4 times a week. So you can have time both for your self and your family.

I would consider doing two jobs if I had to so I could make sure that I was earning enough money to make it. I thought about working two jobs right after I moved about a month ago but with doing 45 hours a week at a job, an internship and working on class work at home, it would just wasn't possible for me to do that and actually get any sleep at night. If I wasn't so sure that I would make it on the full time job that I have now, I would be doing something else on the side just to get by. I will end up working a few hours on some weekends for a few extra dollars so that will definitely come in handy. I'd say if you need the money do it. It can be done, working two jobs. You can do it, and you can make great money if you're able to schedule the second job around your first with enough time to sleep, eat and relax in between them.

well, if my health was better, i would definitely go out and work two jobs. i have worked in an office for a number of years and written and published stuff online for extra money, made and sold crafts for extra money but would also be open to working outside of the house for those extra hours too. how about working at a big box store? many need extra workers at christmas time and before.

I've had more than one job a few times in my life. When I was in college I worked a few nights a week at the college newspaper and I also delivered pizzas at night. Don't ask me how I handled a full course load, 2 part time jobs plus I had a daughter under 1 year old. Thank god my husband was there at night to babysit. He worked as well, we just couldn't make ends meet, so I did what I had to do. After I graduated I had a hard time finding a job so I kept the pizza delivery job and got hired on as a secretary at the University. At that point in my life I was 7 months pregnant with my 2nd daughter and was working the secretary job from 8am-4:30pm then getting to the pizza place at 5 and working until at least 9. Often, I was there until midnight. Any job with tips is a great second job. You get spending money every night you work and then you can pay bills with your paychecks. Having more than 1 job isn't the easiest thing to do, but if I could do it pregnant then anyone can.

Hey ziz when I was a student in college I had three jobs. I went to class in the morning from 8.30 -1.30. 2.30-8pm I worked in a call center. 9pm-2am I worked as as cocktail waitress. 2.30am-5.00am I worked as a taxi driver. Get home 5.30am. By 7.00am I am a wake and 8.30 am back in class. That's right, I only had one and a half hour sleep per day! I did this for the full four years and these jobs paid my tuition fees and other bills. So if I can do it, so can you! Best part time jobs are always call centers. (as long as its inbound calls only) Or night time waitressing and if you are good with hair, they are loads of jobs for beauticians and hair dressers.

I tried having two jobs before, but it didn't work out well for me, so I quit my freelance job. I don't mind having two jobs at all. The problem is, my freelance work was more difficult than my regular work, which really stressed me out. So right now I'm just trying to earn extra money online by posting on mylot and by working on my other GPT sites. It's really up to you. If you feel that getting a second job would be really worth it, then go for it.

i do think if you have time and ability two jobs or three jobs at the same time is quite good indeed. When i was at my twenties i once worked three jobs at the same time. During the daytime i worked as an English translator and at night i worked as an international sales and an English teacher.

Maybe you can look for a better-paying job or move to a city where there are better-paying jobs. You need to weigh things carefully. How safe would it be for you to be working at night? Would the sacrifice be worth it? Well, for my part, I have a work-at-home job from which I earn more than enough for myself. However, I have a family to feed so I'm finding ways and means to augment my income. I'm looking forward to the day where I can live a well-balanced life. There is more to life than work, but first, I have to make some sacrifices so later, things will be easy for me. I wish you luck and I hope you'll find a well-paying job worthy of your capabilities.

Yes i would. Once when I was a student, a full time student and and still I working part time. Not having a lot of money, but its a great experience. As for now, I can do nothing here except my current work, so I used my free time logging in and tried means to earn extra money. is it consider work? But it is exhausted, and surprisingly it able to build our character to be a strong and independent person because you have twice more experience than people having only one job. Happy Mylotting

I have done two jobs at the same time two and half years ago. I did that for fun. I was doing a night shift job, then I got an offer for a day shift job. The company where I was doing day shift didn't allow me to quit because they considered me as a very valuable employee (I think). So, I decided to do both the jobs at the same time. It was kind of difficult at first, but I got used to it. I slept only five hours in a day during that time. I took it as a challenge and did well at both the jobs. My tounge flipped once and my mom came to know about that. She scolded me a lot and asked me to take care of my health. I worked day and night continuosly for three months and decided to take my mother's advice seriously and finally gave up. I enjoyed it and I like to keep it in my memory.

If this will not compromise quality, then go for it if you can handle. But if not, then one at a time will do better. Some people would do such so that they can meet both ends. During this time of global crunch, we need to be versatile and able to do things so that we can earn that extra amount, not only for ourselves, but for our family. It needs sacrifice at times when you do two jobs just to get money. Lucky for those people who doesn't need to do this and yet gets an income which they are only to spend on gambling. So if you are determined to do it, that will not compromise your other work, then do it.
• Italy

Right! I think quality would not be compromised at a first time... but after some months it's possible to loose your rhythm. I'm going to find it out :D

But i want to save some money for me and my passions and i can't find other solutions then working twice whene there's no online job T_T
