Do you expect your posted discussions to have many responses..?

Not that long since I joined mylot, but I have been posting discussions here..the least that I got was a no response topic..haha
I don't expect that my topic would be responded by thousands, but I just felt bad when, no one cares to respond it it..T_T
Posting discussion, does it also mean, expecting many responses to it..?
I certainly don't expect any response, as long as, I have posted a topic out of my wit then its enough, its for the other mylotters to read and if they want to reply, then its good but if they dont like to reply, its also good..No one is compelling anybody to reply any discussions, they just do it if they think topics are worth replying..
And I guess, its better to have no reply on your topic than having a reply that is OFF TOPIC (which is disappointing)..haha

Though I have not started much discussions, I posted few and while submitting the discussion I used to expect at least a single response for my discussions.Else I will be highly disappointed.Fortunately I got at least few for my all of the discussions(but the total discussions itself is only about 7 or 8)Even if we are not able to get any response , we may not worry for that as each and every member is having lot of discussions with zero responses,it seems.

No. I don't ever get very many responses. I think that the most I have gotten was around 30 and the least I think was like 1 or so. I don't believe I have ever had no responses before. Maybe it has to do with your tags. Maybe people just can't find your discussions. Or maybe you just suck at starting discussions like me. lol. jk.

At first I did not get many responses, but as the Lamb said, with a network of friends you get quite a few responses. I am sorry you have some no response discussions, because you do not earn until you get your first response.

before I was happy that the least response that i got was one, but now, its really disappointing that even a single one did not care to respond to it..T_T
maybe my topic would bloom next time..hehe

The one I noticed with no responses was not one I could answer, as I am not a man. Also, many people will not answer those types of questions. If you had a larger friend list, though, you would probably find someone who would venture an answer.

I've got friends here but they don;'t bother replying to my discussions, and i think Begging for them just to response is not good (and definitely not my type)..

There were really times that we feel disappointed, that after brainstorming for what we thought a very nice topic, no response. I feel the same some times. Luckily, I have no zero response so far. The least is 1, lol... What we should put in mind when starting a discussion is sharing. We share what we have, our own ideas, knowledge, personal experiences, etc. If someone response to it, well and good. If none, then thank myLot, at least we can share what we have...

yeah, I would say I agree with that..As long as we are able to share our thoughts, thats what important, we may gain no responses but who cares, as long as we have imparted our ideas and feelings on our discussions, then that would be enough I guess..

Yes, I would like to expect lots of responses everytime when I create a discussion because I liek to see lots of responses in my discussions and reply to them. But of course, I am not lucky to receive lots of responses everytime so I can ust hope for the best! :-) I get a little upset though when I get 0 responses...

yeah, I agree..That's the main reason why we post discussion, to gain responses, if we don't expect responses then I guess we should not be posting any topic..I also expects responses from my discussion, a single response is good, I just don't want a zero response (feels like my efforts are not recognize)..haha

Hi Sticken,
Happy to see your discussion. I really does and thats why I have started a new discussion " what you prefer? Posting new discussions or responding discusssions". I got 57 responses in a single day. I really enjoy to see the things which people enjoy. So I really like responses from people who really respond.
Sometimes, My expectation on a particular topic will never get a good response. But sometimes it does which I never expects... Most of all, I really love to be here.... Cheers.... Have a great day....

I don't expect that my posted discussion will get more response. It is depend upon the members here on how they read and accept what is really the points. If they found it is affect to their life or found interesting for them. They got it...

at first i was just excited to get at least 1 or 2 response from my own discussions but never expect to get more than 70 responses to one of my discussion even when I just started ... Well I guess I lost that touch already now a days coz I havent been that active , just visiting the lot every once in a while a nd select some few discussions from my friends ans new members here at the lot. I really do enjoy responding now rather than making new discussions which would really take lots of my time but it is still nice to think of a new discussion that would gain lots of responses coz they are interested to respond to it.... good luck my friend.

I don't expect a lot in my discussion to have many response, and i found out most of my discussion are lots of response, the most number are around 32 responses, and i am surprise that my discussion are good and interesting, out of five discussion has get the highest responses, i never get any no responses.

i do have some discussion that end up with zero response. he best also is less than 10 responses. i think maybe i need to start some popular topic instead of some random topics.

Hello there, I have posted many discussion topics since I joined myLot 2 months ago. I must say that I am lucky that my discussion topics draw at least 2 responses. Of cos I will be a bit disappointed if my discussion topic get no response at all. But this is how it works in a discussion site. People will only respond to a topic that interest them. So, posting a discussion topic does not mean expecting responses to me. Happy myLotting =))

that last bit of info is indeed true. better have no responses that irrelevant ones. you shouldn't take it upon yourself though when no one responds to your discussion as it could just be that others have nothing insightful to share or that they just don't have adequate knowledge to respond ;)

When i started at mylot i thought that just getting a reply was amazing and then i got 10 and i was like WOW but then my dreams were broken when i saw that people had like 40 reply's but i will keep trying to get 40 reply's one day.

yes, I also dreamed of having a more than 50 responses but can't think of a topic as of now..hehe
