They will continue to regret taking Oden over Durant. While they are still young, they don't have the complimentary guy to Roy to make them a serious contender to win it all. Playoff team, but no more than that.

You're right, they do have a lot of talent. Maybe even enough talent to win 60 games. However, if you look at the teams that win championships, they all have a second guy (and sometimes a third) who can take over the game for small stretches when the alpha dog is sitting out or off his game. Look at the list: Kobe/Pau KG/Pierce/(Allen) Wade/Shaq Duncan/Ginobili/Parker Jordan/Pippen Whose that second guy for Portland? I see several guys with potential, but not nearly there yet (Aldridge, Webster, Outlaw), a few guys who do one thing well (Priz, Blake), and a some nice role players (Bayless, Batum). Miller needs the ball in his hands to be effective. He only takes opportunities away from Roy - I'm not a huge fan of signing him. I do think Fernandez has the chance to be a Lamar Odem/Hedu/Toni Kukoc type of all around player that most championship teams seem to have. Get that number 2 guy (and Roy would have been exceptional in that role had Portland drafted Durant), and the Blazers would have been looking at a five year championship window.

They have a really nice mix of players, youth and talent. That number two guy you're looking for may already be on the team just needs to develop a little more.

They dont regret taking oden. What are you smokin? well lets see there is LaMarcus Aldridge, Martell Webster, Rudy Fernandez, Brandon Roy, Andre Miller, Jerryd Bayless, Steve Blake, Travis Outlaw, Nick Batum, Joel Prysbilla. So there is alot of talent there. They will have atleast a 60 game winning season this year!

They will be a contender in the Western Conference but for me they still can't beat the elite teams come playoff time. They lack the veteran leadership and signing Andre Miller is a solution to that but I think that there 1 to 2 more puzzle piece that needs to be filled for them to be a championship caliber team.

portland trailblazers have improved a lot with roy. i think they need to get a solid center to be a real contender. they should not just content with being in the playoffs. they can achieve more than that. they can build a team around roy and they will see that it definitely will result to better standing and deeper into playoff. the western conference though is very tough and competitive. goodluck blazers.

They got Andre Miller, and that makes them even better. Now since they were tied for second place in the Western Conference. and they had 54 wins last year, and now they have a good players and the ones they have already are alot better. It will be a 60 win season.

Of course better than last season. Although they are every young ,they are full of vigor and energy. When they get more experience , they can play better. They also have a good leader Roy. Roy and his partner will go further next season.

They are a very good team that is missing just a few elements to put them up there with the elite. They are very young and the future is bright. Oden will continue to develop. I wish some people were just a little more patient. Those elements they are missing might not be that hard to get over the long term. They might even develop from within.
