The oppressed husband - We are accustomed to hear that wives are beaten or oppressed by their husbands. But in many cases husbands are also oppressed by their wives. In India some oppressed husbands made an organization against their wives.

My discussion is contrary to the LOGO of "Loving Wife". To get rid of the oppression of their wives the oppressed husbands are going to meet a conference in the town of Simla on 15th August the Independence Day Of India.More than 100 men representing the whole oppressed husbands of India will raise their demands to the Government.Mr.Anil Kumar the president of the co organizer society Save Indian Family Foundation said,'In some cases the Indian laws are in favor of wives. We want changes of these laws.We want in the false cases of divorce or oppression to wives remarks of husbands should be heard with attention. We want equal rights of female and male.' The main four demands of oppressed husbands are 1)Establishment of men welfare ministry, 2)Revision of Inheritance and Family Oppression Law,3)Equal Tax structure for men and women and 4)After separation children should be allowed to live with their fathers and mothers.According to the findings of the organization in last four years to get rid of the oppression of the wives 102,200 husbands made suicide.

Hi, I never been in India before but my mom did. I heard a lot of rules to follow if you are a woman. and most women are under husband rule right? well, it is almost similar to my religion as well. But now thing changed, our government gave out a law that make the whole country follow... if not then he/she will face the jail time. we are not equal in both working, saying, or doing anything just like man. however, some parts are still going on due to the family still holding the old fashion way. I think you are right, we should be equal and everything we do is just to make sure we get the same right. Why not?

bhanusb, in the wedding vows in the usa, we are asked to love and cherish our husband/wife. From what I know about Indian culture, most men don't do that. But from what you are saying, your wife is not doing that for you. Marriage is hard for both husband and wife, not only one. Did you talk about the role or meaning of husband and wife before you got married? Do you know what your wife expected? Does she know what you expected? there are so many questions to ask yourself and your wife to try to come to an agreement about your marriage.
